I want to start a Clickbank affiliate website (a product review site) but before I do so I have some questions in mind for more experienced Clickbank users.

1. I know that the keywords I target and competition affect my position in search engines. How many monthly searches should the keyword have for me to make money?
2. Should I be strict about the URL of my website (like it should include my target keyword and stuff)? Does also the length of my URL affect my SE position badly?
3. How many product reviews/articles should I have on my website before the launch? Right now I have only 4 product reviews and 5 articles (articles are only for keyword aiming purposes).
4. Does the domain/host provider affect my SE position? Say, if I bought a cheap host and domain from an Indian provider would it still get traffic from US and Europe, work well?
5. I'm in Turkey. Can Google find out if I take professional articles in my language and translate them or write English articles based on them and put them on my website? Would I be sandboxed or these articles be identified as "unique content"?

These are all for now, I'll ask more as I come up with more questions.

1. Alex Berezowsky says: minimum 4000 - 5000
2. your domain should include your keywords, butb don't do it too long
3. not sure
4. I would take US host
5. No problem with that, you can make unique content with your translation

1. The amount of money you make is not directly related to the number of monthly searches. Instead consider the ratio of searches vs competition and how targeted your keyword is. For example, it's no good having 5000 monthly searches for a keyword if there's a lot of competition.
2. Using your keyword in your domain will add to the power of your SEO campaign
3. Quality over quantity. Make sure your articles/reviews are interesting, well written and have 3-6 keywords per 500 words.
4. Use godaddy for a good cheap service (they have many offers, search for coupons). A .com is preferable for more traffic.
5. Unless you use google translate, I can't see how they would find out! :D

Thanks a lot for your answers. I will keep these in mind in my niche project and post the results here.

is it neccessary to have hosting account from US??

it is better to have hosting account in US ie your site should host in a US ip , no matter if the provider is form your country . This is my preference, I have no evidence but still i feel it affect the search specially if you are targeting the US local search
