Hi everyone.

Many people say that domain age plays an important role in the seo-game.

There's a niche which is imo very lucrative, but also very competitive. I thought it might be a good idea to start with an aged domain. The older the better, right?

To what do I have to pay attention to when using an old domain? I need as many tips as possible.

Cheers

i did that with a 4 year old domain (Health niche)
added 50 articles long tail keywords
Im ranking for a few keywords and its getting 25 visits/day
and i havent done any backlinking
With proper seo i guest it could make 1000 visits/day easyly

Did you set the date of the articles to 4 years back or just posted them as normal?

Cheers

i think you'll find google gives credence to the age of the domain and not the article as many seem to buy old domains and 301 them to their new site which suggests to me that the date or articles is irrelevant.

That said i would post up to date stuff on your money site as the big g loves fresh unique content.

And am I getting this right, I can also start with an aggressive SEO strategy? Afaik the risk of being sandboxed is lower, right?
Cheers

depends what you mean by aggressive SEO strategy!

i'm no expert by any means but from what i have gleaned from here is that you should have tiers and blast the lower tiers not your money site. Buy i'm sure there are many around here that will be able to stear you in the right direction.

Build a T1 network around your site and blast the hell out of it.. :)

And if I look for an aged domain, to what do I have to look for?
What makes a good aged domain and what do I have to avoid?

Thanks
