Everyone has given good advice to you to get your journey into IM started. Your personal road to success starts as soon as you decide to take action. That could be just as simple as typing a question into a search bar. Get out there and do it!
Truth is, if you have little money to invest in this to get started, then you have very few options. Blogger would be one of those things that you can use and will become a bit of an asset later as you can use it for generating traffic or a linking strategy. If you already have Youtube videos, then you can write a post on Blogger about one of those. Just start writing a couple posts a week about something you are passionate about (do you have any interests/hobbies that you have knowledge about?).
If you are able to write your own unique content, then eventually, your skill as a writer will improve. Along the way, you can research methods such as on-page SEO techniques and the all important keyword research. Now, once you have knowledge about those techniques, go back to revise each post and apply those freshly learned methods. Track all of your results by using Google analytics and webmaster tools so you can see how your daily traffic changes. If you find that certain keywords are being targeted by people that are getting an impression for your Blogger pages, then start writing a post or two involving those keywords.
Getting this valuable experience under your belt will help you become a better marketer. If you can write content, you will go far. If you can't write, practice and improve at it. Join other free blogging platforms such as Wordpress, Squidoo, Hubpages, etc. where they teach you a number of quality skills and techniques that will also get you on the path to earning big $$$$. Interact with others on these networks and form relationships with them. Ask them to take a moment to visit a page of yours and tell you what they think, etc. This has helped me to build JV's (Joint Ventures) with people and we continue to make money together.
Start writing and take action. Don't worry if it isn't perfect in the beginning - it won't matter yet because nobody will be reading it. Make your tweaks and adjustments to what you write and note the changes/improvements in your traffic. Now, write more content and really start to gain an 'audience'. Once you have that 'audience' of targeted traffic, you can start to market to them through other monetizing means such as Amazon/Clickbank/Google Affiliate Networks, etc.
Now, rinse and repeat. Only this time, try to build something like this using your own blog website (.com, .org, .net). Apply all the techniques that you have learned along the way. This entire process takes time and nobody will guide you through it from start to finish. There are so many confusing terms and lingo to be learned but you will pick those up along the way. Create a goal for yourself and start writing a plan that you can follow. Stick to the plan and only tweak it as necessary.
Most importantly, and I can't stress this enough (especially all those that are reading this and haven't done so), TAKE ACTION!! The sooner you get started with something, anything, the sooner you will be earning.
