New Way to Successfully Scam Google into Ranking Your Site?

So I've been doing a bit of backlink analysis post the changes made over the last few days, and how a ton of really poor quality sites have risen to the top (especially on the 1000 or so highly prized SEO mega terms out there).

One person I found is doing this:
Step 1) Buy high PR domains from 2-3 yrs ago on godaddy auctions in bulk (he seemingly has bought 133 so far)
Step 2) Redirect high PR domains to a fresh site with tons of content you backdate to make your site seem older with no outbound links
Step 3) Blast a few million blogs, profiles, guestbooks to these 133 domains

This guy is now on page one for a 5-6 million/yr term, while authority sites with PRs of 4 and 5 and thousands of pages of hand written content are on page 5/6 or worse

This strategy is interesting... and seems to work very well (it's also very easy to do)
Post March changes, I've seen this 301 redirection technique work true miracles... but this site in particular is amazing for a bunch of reasons.

The guy is also doing this across 5 mega niches at once, and his various sites are ranking on all of them (all the same backdated post technique)
I'm talking about some of the SEO dream terms like:
e-cigarettes

Terms that can easily rotate $20-30k/day in profit for sites, and yes his site is on page 1 for e-cigs now. He has no affiliate links, stores, etc set up so I truly wonder what he's doing. I'm guessing he has 1-2 months to capitalize before his site is gone.

This would never, ever have worked before February... yet...

I've noticed about a 50% rate of 301 redirection >30 for page 1 results in these ultra comp niches post Feb.
It seems as soon as Matt Cutts said "over optimization of anchor text" people jumped all over some of the biggest markets out there with 301s and def are doing some amazing ranking right now... even with horrible sites

Generally I hate that google allows this (yahoo and bing would never ever allow sites like this to rank), and would be more than happy to out his e-cig site, but yeah not right now

Now you just get first page rankings and can shove you affiliate link to your watch TV from your computer scam on page 1 of a 350k exact/mth mega niche.
His site that is on page 1 in a niche I previously had page 1 rankings on (for an exceptional PR5 authority site I might add), and he has 133 redirects to that...

If he had a storefront and sold the product (I doubt he's connected enough to sell it), he'd make $15k/day in profit...

If you have the money to invest in the domains, this is a great strategy.

This is a stupid strategy, it can be done for a LOT cheaper with a little more footwork at the start.
Yet it's working, and almost nothing is right now for people who actually try to build authority sites.

Pretty impressive findings, I've noticed this in a few markets I'm targeting was in the process of implementing it on a similar scale. Will do a test and share some personal results.

I'm not providing this information for my own benefit... I've already deduced what's working and how f*cked up google's results are now.

He bought the e-cig domain on march 7th
and ran his redirection on March 22nd
There are no backlinks to any of the domains he purchased for redirection prior to March 22nd either... they just had PR.

My guess is he did <24 hours of actual work, + $1000 in capital outlay, to make (if he knows what he's doing, which I doubt he does) at least $500k in profit...

Yes it took a month to see the results, and yes he's not even running the products, but just think of someone who CAN run the products.

Interesting. It's an interesting theory, but we're talking $30,000+ in purchased domains via auction, so it's not something we can just test for fun.
What would be interesting and funny, would be to sell the site, then redirect the 100+ domains to a new domain, sellit, and repeat lol.

On a related note, I have a site hovering around #6-#7 for a very very hard term. I ended up ranking another site to #9, with a good backlink profile, roughly 60DA, and 301d it to my money site. I was hoping to see a few spots jump, but seen nothing. And while my site isn't moving, I see shit EMDs passing my site which have a couple dozen shit links. So frustrating how fucking shit Google is sometimes.

this strategy was here forever, instead of 301 redirects people used named anchors on bought high pr domains. actually, there was an article on botmaster contest where a guy researched a network of high pr websites to rank on #2 in google for a word viagra.(or buy viagra online)
