I think you will find that most of the members who do carry a
lot of Rep and have high Thanks have never asked for either

Kidding aside, good point OP... Asking for thanks and reps is just lame (I know I just did that).

Basically what they are saying is, "Hey guys! See what I am sharing? I do not actually
want to GIVE it away. Instead, I want to TRADE this idea or download in return for you
giving me thanks or rep points."

What they don't realize is that no one likes being "guilt tripped" into giving someone
thanks or reps. Personally, I have never asked for thanks or reps. When I give something
to the forum, that is good enough. If people thank me or rep me, that is a nice gesture,
but I don't nag them into doing it. I have always thought that it was a tacky thing to
ask for thanks and reps. People are more likely to give you thanks or reps when you
DON'T ask for it. If you are going to share something on BHW, SHARE FREELY. That
is in the TRUE SPIRIT of BHW.

well i have different opinion members have a lot of rep usually from rep circle from friends and members working with them , and not all of members ask for rep/thanks should deal with them as bad members ! e.g G-S-T was asking for
rep/thanks in his signature and definitely he is one of the best contributors on BHW so we should slap him !
i have no problem if a member asked for rep/thanks if he did something useful for BHW community so if you want rep
him/her and if you don't like that just skip this .

1. We would have everyone post in 1 thread who wants rep and thanks boosts!
2. Then we would have someone we would call the "dealer" who would supply the boosters...wait no..forget this step!!!
3. Then each time you visit the thread you have to rep and thanks everyone who posted in the thread!
4. This would ultimately discourage what OP is informing us about, and as a result all would gather in 1 thread and receive their REP and THANKS BOOSTS that we needed!
5. I am not saying we should do this....but it would put an end to this problem OP mentioned!
6. If you want to give "thanks and reps" for this idea & solution...please give it to the OP and if you have some left over I wouldn't mind some....wink wink
