What is written on your content lockers?

Hi!

On a lot of sites I see Content Lockers that say something likes: "STOP SPAM - Prove that you are not a bot to unlock et cetera". I personally just use the content locker without any images and just an explanation that they have to fill out to unlock.

Is there any report on what phrases/layouts work/convert best?

Whats your experience?

I always make custom templates for my content lockers and try to make them so that they go well together with my site's design. About the text, simply explain your visitors that in order to unlock the content they have to complete an offer. I have also had success with texts like "Warning, your IP address has been banned...".

it really depends. Come up with about 5-10 different designs, and test them on a rotation for about a week, and then choose the top three and test those for about a week. But from the top 3 you will be able to see what wording design is converting. And this testing is great cause once you find a formula/tempate that works easy to just plug and play it into your other niches/sites.

I Use a script. all your static files like jquery, noscript etc go out of this, put those where you will normally put them. i.e. header.
but for the locker it self you put that in here. this will rotate it between two different version.
