Looking For Recreation Drugs Related Affiliate Program - Any Suggestions?

I get upwards of 5000 uniques/day on various sites related to recreational drugs.

Not monetized at present.

I've looked at the following affiliate programs:

legalbuds
cashburners
everyonedoesit
bodyenergyshop

cashburners receives good reviews, and I've signed up. Problem is a lot of their "party pill" products don't seem to have much in the way of stock promotional material, and I'm not really too interested in building my own cms style "shop" (as it seems you have to do) in order to "sell" their products.

Have read (and presumed) legalbuds type products aren't very high converting due to "ineffective" product.

I get very specific traffic for some keywords which could sell amazon books very well - but are a little worried amazon would ban my account if they discovered the context of their ads. I also am not totally happy about promoting amazon with such low commissions.

If anyone has any good ideas, please let me know. They'd be greatly appreciated!

There is a site on flippa being sold that sells legal stuff like this I think...
Take a look at their affiliates... not sure if it's been sold yet, but worth a look mate.

I've checked these guys out already. Couldn't find enough feedback on them to satisfy my concerns. The fact that it's been sold also contributes to these fears.

I am not sure what exactly you mean by 'Recreation Drugs'. Are you looking for generic life style medications like cialis viagra levitra etc etc.?

By recreational drugs, I'm talking about prohibited drugs. cannabis, x, speed etc etc.

Before anyone starts getting all "moral" on me: I run several "info" sites on these drugs. Many rank well for {drug} info/facts/effects etc.

Sites are very popular, I believe, with those people whom are "experienced" with these substances, and simply looking to "read up" a bit more on these particular drugs.

The sites are high quality, and quite "authoritative" in their niches. Info on them is extremely high quality, balanced, and aimed to provide users with a non-distorted view on the drugs in question.

The thing is, I'm at a bit of a loss on how to monetize.

I'm thinking it might be good to trial those "energy" type pills marketed for "parties" and "raves" etc, but also along the lines of "drug culture" we have those alternative t-shirt affiliate programs like tshirt hell etc.

Ultimately I know there are a few members on BHW who have experience with topics associated with this niche and would really appreciate it if they could PM me or make a post with any of their ideas/experience.

Colorado just recently outlawed synthetic cannabis (I think that was the drug). Therefore if you are up on the drug laws of various states, there may be some loopholes (I don't know) to exploit.

One other thought to monetization is promoting Re-hab. Don't know anything about it, but there could be niche there. A possible target could be the intervener's. Isn't there some reality show on intervention?

Yes the synth-cannabis thing is a bit touch-and-go. Several countries have done the same in the last year. I don't think it's an entirely sustainable product... Intervention is a possibility, but I just don't think it'll convert.

I've spent a good portion of the day researching affiliate programs.

Amazon would be perfect but their 4% rate is only going to earn about $1.20 on a $30.00 book. That is just too low for what I'm looking for.

Cashburners is looking promising.

I might be temped to give rehab a push at some point.

There seem to be a lot of other affiliate programs focused on cannabis seeds and other wares.

I'll keep persevering. Any further suggestions are welcomed!

"How to pass a drug test" niche? DirectDetox has an affiliate program, or you could sell this eBook that I saw on Clickbank, just search drug test in the marketplace.

You could add posts to your site about this topic to draw in the targeted traffic. Just my two cents

I'd echo what others have said about rehab - there are quite a few private detox services that might be worth looking at as affiliates although I'm not sure of the detail. Aside from that, and in view of what you said about T-shirt tie-ins... have you had a look at poster affiliates? It's a similar market to T-shirts and it has a good online presence. Again, I'm spitballing here but it might be an idea.
