Hello Black Hatters,

Over the past few months i have been been trying to remove 'negative words' from Googles auto suggest (i've succeeded in manipulating the auto suggest, PM me to find out more if you're trying to do the same) However the negative terms are still appearing in the 'related searches' (the list of alternative search suggests placed at the bottom of the SERPS). this leads me to believe that auto-suggest(complete) and related searches use different Algo's.

Where as autosuggest is ranked on search volumes and user search patterns (again, pm me to find out more about this) the related searches doesn't seem to follow suit, this leads me to believe it based more on the frequency of keyword mentions across the internet.....maybe?

Well, if anybody can shine any light of this matter i'd be more than grateful :)

Thanks

J

Do a google search for How googles search suggest instant works whiteboard friday, click on the moz link with the video. There is a good video that discusses this concept and if you use you head you can figure out figure. It was insightful for me. I would be inetersting to see some test data on this and work together to detail some greyhat/blackhat approaches. I have a few ideas already, any other thoughts....anyone have some insight they can share prior to our adventure?

The search that I found the video for this was "How googles search suggest instant works whiteboard friday", just incase it was not clear. This is a top priority for me to master and I will be sharing my findings and blue-print as this matures in concept and I complete my testing.

I can manipulate autosuggest, i've already cracked that chessnut :D its the bloody related searches at the bottom, i've come to the conclusion that it's what people have searches afters the searched after a serp that included my company's brand name, with the tool i created to manipulate autosuggest should eventually alter the related search in time.

Hey Vezznay,

I'm interested in your research and I'm willing to compensate you for your time and/or services.
