I didn't want to start a new thread for this so I hope someone can please clarify

I thought that if you did site:domain in Google and Google finds my pages that means I'm indexed in Google but after using semrush and cuteranks as recommended by this thread http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...guys-check-google-position-2.html#post4123862, both of them say website not found in Google database but when I do site:domain I find my pages/articles on my site, what does that mean? cos now I'm pretty confused , does that mean I'm not in Google index or I'm not just ranking?

Thanks

Yeah if you see your pages after searching by site:mysite.com then your site is surely indexed. Otherwise google wouldn't have shown that. It maybe that your site is so deep down in ranking that the other programs couldn't find it.

Ya Hameem, thanks for the info I was beginning to worry

Cheers

No need to be worried. Because if you can find your page in Google then your page is indexed.
you can also check when it was last cached. by cache:mydomain.com

Yeah just type your whole web address ..
You will your site is indexed or not ..

absolutle correct, if it is not showing on google that means it is deep down in ranking.

What does it mean that your site is "cached" ?

If your site is cached it means your website code has been saved on a server somewhere. If your site disappears or you do changes over time, google (or anyone else that has cached it) can look back at your site when it was cached.
