My 2 cents ? quick review.

I've bought the VPS from the first thread, so I can some experience with it now. It's the Lite package ? 1 GB RAM.

Let's get straight to the subject.


1.Setup time ? 8/10 ? it took about 6 h to get my machine running. It is good for me.

2.Support enquiry ? 9/10 ? response time for my ticket (via poweruphost website) was 3 hours. That's ok, but I've also contacted the host via this forum. Ugjnuk caught me immediately on skype and we worked through my problems. Great thanks for that ? and score 9 ? close to perfection.

3.Internet speed ? 9/10 ? it's 1Gps, man! I can't saturate the link with 3 scrapeboxes! I can confirm the speeds shown by other users. Be careful with testing: the results may vary, because speedtest.net is using different servers.

4.Hardware specs ? 6/10 ? I've got 1 GB of RAM only. It's not fault of powerup hosting, but my decisions of course. If you want to buy the VPS consider buying more RAM. It's the best upgrade you can think off. With 1GB 3 instances of scrapebox are close to max. If you scape big lists only 1-2 scrapeboxes will run at the same time.



To sum up: final score is 8/10 and I can surely recommend powerup hosting.

Consider getting more RAM than 1GB and have fun!

Our current servers are located in Chicago so If you choose any other random server for speedtest.net then you will get random and weird results. Also, speedtest.net doesn't give 100% accurate results most of the time since they rely on other's servers to calculate the speed.

Hey, you can upgrade your current VPS. All you have to do is submit a ticket. Will send you the updated invoice and then will process your Upgrade on your current VPS.

You won't have to reinstall or re-license anything

Their customer service is top notch , everytime i contact the support, they replied within 5min with solution for me. When im having issue installing some software on the server , they arrange a timing with me and log onto it to see what's the issue im having. RECOMMENDED!!

I am changing VPS providers after 2 years because my critical xsserver.eu VPS has been down for the last 5 days and I haven't received one response to all of the support tickets, emails, and phone calls I've put in. Definitely beware of those guys now, they will just disappear on you out of nowhere.

I'm looking forward to a fresh start with powerup!

One word for my experience with this VPS provider so far- WOW.

VPS was setup in about an hour and the support blows away anything I've experienced with a hosting provider before. The VPS is blazing fast and extremely responsive. While the VPS I got from these guys at $89 is the same on paper as the VPS I had with xsserver for $95 per month, using this VPS seems at least twice as fast.

Overall 10/10 from my point of view- PLEASE keep up the awesome support!
