Hi All,

Recently had traffic increase on my Hostgator Wordpress site and I've already been suspended 3 times in the past 2 days due to high cpu usage (300-500+ concurrent users). In the cPanel error logs I can see a ton of errors:

"[Thu Apr 12 22:19:39 2012] [error] [client x.x.x.x] SoftException in Application.cpp:574: Could not execute script "/home/username/public_html/subdomain.com/index.php", referer: http://innerURL"

Anyone have any idea what this could be caused by or what I can look into to figure it out? I've already disabled all the plug-ins except for WP Super Cache but I still see these errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry, but I have no idea. I hope you can figure it out. The first place I'd go in a case like this is talk with my webhost. Have you tried speaking with Hostgator customer support?

If you don't know how to help him, just don't post, he doesn't want to know that you can't help, he only wants to know you can.

I hate it when people post just to post!

You have to check Wordpress database queries somehow. In 80% of cases slowdowns are caused by the database. Another idea is that you've been hit by a hacker and he's operating from your account.
Good luck!,

You just did that yourself lol ...

OP, contact Hostgator's live support at first. They have helped me many times. If they don't know what's wrong, backup the database, delete wordpress's files and reinstall it using the old database. That should fix the issue.

I just realized someone is spamming this forum. Each post with the term 'hosting', 'host', or something... there's a spam message promoting a host.

This is an old post. I didn't realize this either when I posted to the first one.
