I'd setup a page with no ads on it at all. Just info. Set the bids low and the dollars per day low (just to start). Wait till it's approved and THEN put ads on it. That strategy works. Make your ads very straight forward. Look at others ads and basically make a version of them. That should get you approved and running. Once its running, put the ads/links on the landing page. My account is fine now and my campaign is running fine too but I am seeing an absurd delay of 6-7 hours in reporting.. I see clicks in billing tab but its updated quite late in my campaigns tab.. anybody else experienced any delay in reporting?

Hey everyone,

I just realized when a guy that sent me his campaign to look at that I left out a step in how I set up my campaign. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but it could possibly be a reason why some of you are getting suspended or Site Violations.

The missing step is as Follows:

When I set up my campaign and it asks me where I want my ads to run. I DESELECT the Content Network. I only allow my ads to run on the Search Results. There may be a more rigorous check for campaigns that want to run on the Content Network. I'm not sure, but I wanted to relay it to you. If I get a chance I will perhaps set up a dummy campaign and use Camtasia video to show you exactly what I check. As for today, it is my birthday and I'm taking myself out to eat. Sorry for all who may have lost a voucher for me leaving this out. Like I said, not sure if that's the case, but I would definitely try one including this step to see what happens.

I was reading Perry Marshalls Adwords Guide and it mentioned when starting out your campaign to UNCHECK the buttons to both Display Network and Search Partners, but just check Google Search button. Is that what everyone is doing when setting up their campaigns?

I have success in running on the content network aswell but the traffic is 10 times crappier than the search traffic so I always stick with search traffic!

That's what I do. Penny Marshall is someone who actually really knows that they are talking about also, a rarity in the IM world. Marshall's stuff is definitely worth looking around for. So is Gauher Chaudhry's Pay Per Click Formula 3.

Ya I'm curious what you are using for your display url for a blogger site as the landing page? Are the posts content from ezinearticles?

Ya you get this message almost everytime but even after this you can be banned for billing information before you see impressions on your ads. On the home page there is a link for beginner's guide, go click on it. If there is a notice saying your account is under review you are most likely to get banned!

Have you tried creating your campaign without any links or banners on the site and then once approved you add the link cloaker and ads?

If you get your site approved then wait for a few days before putting ads up.. Run little traffic to the site with daily budget of 3-4$ and even after that I would suggest you to just get the emails from that traffic rather than advertising that direct and then set an autoresponder..

The Google's definition of bridge page is very wide. Even if that site has no ads Google assumes its a bridge page cause there is zero quality content on the site and it will be used just for displaying ads in the future. Google will not define exactly what it considers quality content but you have to experiment or else just try to copy the sites in the niche!
Fresh accounts are extremely prone to bridge page violation so you have to be extra cautious in the beginning!
