How the hell? - Facebook likes..on images

Hi,

I have seen about 7 photos this week on facebook that have over 900,000 likes and 7000 shares plus loads of comments...

it smells like blackhat, looks like blackhat... anyone know how its done? or has Mr zuckerberg actually created a platform where people do indeed engage?

I have seen a few with 100k+ and I don't really think it's some kind of a blackhat method, it's just that people like and share it.

It really depends what sort of photos? Maybe it was shared around news/media/blog sites that why it had so many likes?

Get a photo of something that is "in" or "trending" and you will also gain a lot of likes. I always see cheesy "relationship" photos accompanied by a little story going viral on FB...

If you have a good amount of friends, say 5,000 with a few thousand subscribers, you have a high chance of a photo going viral. Once one friend has liked it, every person on their friend's list sees it. I have a fb with 5,000 friends. I uploaded a photo that had a high chance of going viral and within a week it now has 47,000 likes. I then used that to my advantage and put a comment on the photo saying anyone who goes and likes my group (example) will get $1. I got around 14,000 likes on my group just from that .
