How can I write a 500 word article in under 15 minutes?

My writers write 7 to 10 articles per day, it's a 8h job, where in the end they have around 45 minutes to create a proper 500 words article. To me, that's the best time one can get, 15 minutes is just random rambling without any meaning.
Stop focusing on cheap articles which don't have value, start writing articles which carry value (link bait content, reviews etc) and which you can sell for more

Don't take this the wrong way or as a suggestion to NOT work hard but I think you're trying to over deliver for something that you are really getting underpaid for. I think that if you want to be thorough for a particular keyword it should be something that you have had some prior experience writing about, since your writing would be natural and fluid. However, for something like "UPVC windows" I wouldn't wreck my brain over it. Just try to create a routine or a set method for writing your articles, for example, once you find 4-6 important points on the topic you begin writing immediately.
Just my two cents, hope you don't stress yourself out too much. I'm doing my Masters in linguistics and literature right now and honestly, being chill when you write is one of the most important things.

I know this can sound as an insult for someone with the mastery of an English language you are displaying, but did you ever considered to try out article templates? Not for each and every of them, mind you, but for some few in between?

First run them through google keyword tool and get the longtails from there. Then go to Instant article wizard and get some articles from it. Get the facts and make the article. Shouldn't take more than 20 mins IMO. I do it in 15 but they are mostly rewritten.

Fuck the guys that will pay you $2.50/500 words, market yourself for what you are worth.
You can spend 15 minutes an article and provide average content, or acquire clients that pay for quality writing and get paid $10-$15 an article, and believe me they are out there.
You might need to change your writing style from random crap to highly targeted, but don't sell yourself short; don't compete with mediocre quality, set your own quality and find clients willing to pay.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I was stressing out yesterday.
My typing speed it not really the problem so I don?t think that software would help. Also, don?t your family/friends/roommates get annoyed when you are dictating random articles?
I tried IAW on the 7 day trial a few weeks ago, but it seemed to take ages to gather results and often returned nothing. I can?t justify the $77 dollar investment at the moment and there is no way to extend the trial. Is there any other software that is similar to IAW?

with your writing skill I'd suggest you start selling on IM forums, you can offer your service until you got enough regular customer to keep you working full time. Don't try to find a way to write 500 words article in 15 min, believe me most of the webmaster out there are now looking for high quality articles for there websites and are struggling to find someone with your writing abilities.
With enough regular customers you will be able to cut down the research time, as they will be ordering for limited niches that you already researched and became familiar with.

I do this (if you can type fast its great). and it not exactly breaking news or rocket science.
Google whatever KW you have been given. find a good article. paste into word. read one paragraph, rewrite the information manually, delete paragraph.. done. let someone else do the research and just rewrite.

Definitely charge more money. You seem to produce good articles, due to the fact you're researching before hand and you're putting decent energy and time into your work. Easily charge $1 per 100 words.

Your approach to article writing is good if you are generating content that will fetch you a lot of money, or if you are writing for your own sites. However, for the rate you are currently getting, you are just overworking yourself.
If someone paid me just $2.50 for a 500 word article, this is what I would do.
Ask the client about what message they want the article to convey. That will usually give you a pretty good idea of how the article needs to be structured.
Next, I would load up just two or three articles with that keyword, from sites like Ezine. If you are getting a good rate, you will obviously have to dig for better research sources. At $2.50 per 100 words, I wouldn't go beyond Ezine articles and other popular article directories.
Give the article a once over and just spend a couple of minutes on thinking about how to rewrite it, in such a way that it will suit your client. Don't stress out if you think the quality is mediocre. If your client paid you more, you can feel guilty about that.
Bang out your article without hitting the backspace key, even if you have a lot of typos. Not hitting the backspace key will allow you to put out an article much faster than when you try to go back and correct all the silly mistakes. Use the right click to fix those obvious errors as they will be underlined in red, for you to clearly see.
Proof read the article once. Send it over.

There are two things you should do:
1) For the $2.50 articles - Get keywords - open ezinearticles, articlebase, bukisa and one or two other article directories - Read two articles on the topic from each and just write the article in less than 30 minutes. This is what the clients deserve for $2.5 an article.
2) Since you have a complete process of researching and writing good articles ( this is a really good habit, do not spoil it ) - Go to Warrior forum WSO section - check out the PLR packages which are selling. Research the common theme which is selling. Start banging out articles on the keywords. You can write articles on amazon products ( reviews - around 800 - 100 words ) , Health problems, dating and there are tons of niches on WSO part of the forum.
3) Once you have 5 - 10 packs ready, start a WSO with a dime sale stating you would sell a 5 article pack for $5 but since its a WSO , its going only for $2.5. Once you get going, you won't be looking back. Best example of this is tiffany dow. Go read her blog. She has made more than 10k in one day selling PLR on dime sale.

If you have the ability to write high-quality articles, write them for yourself. Make your own sites, fill them with your own content, and make the money yourself.
The day I became self-employed was the day that I realized that if I did my job to the absolute highest level of perfection, the best I could hope to achieve was a sub-standard income.
Unless someone can post links and supporting evidence that there is a significant demand for "high quality" articles, I'm going to disbelieve that. Google's AI can do many new things (such as knowing that you've paraphrased another article on a paragraph-by-paragraph basis), but it cannot differentiate between a $2.50 original article and a $8.00 original article.
I think your situation is similar to someone trying to make a living picking tomatos. The quality of your tomato-picking really doesn't matter. There are minimum standards, and once you've met them, there is no economic reason for anyone to pay a premium. You can't pick faster than a machine, and you can't work cheaper than hoards of migrant workers willing to pick tomatos for less than what it costs for you to survive. I think it would be a good idea for you to focus in on the notion that the core of your career identity is that you are the best tomato-picker on the planet, the problem is that the standards for tomato picking are very low, and there are tens of thousands of people able to meet those standards and you will never be able to compete with them with the economy in it's current condition.
So save your money, buy a farm, and grow special, exotic tomatos that people will be willing to pay you a premium for. At some point you will realize you are on a dead-end road. The sooner you do this, the better off you will be.

If it's a popular topic and you haven't been given precise instructions beyond "I want unique content," you could try the foreign translation method. Not the one where you take an English language article and run it through,say, Yahoo Babelfish 4-5 times (English to Spanish, then Spanish to German, then German to Swedish, then Swedish to French, then back to English). That takes too long, and the English you get back is too junky and choppy to be readily edited.
Just take the root keyword niche term and translate it to a foreign language using the tool. Then take the foreign term you get and run it through Google. Voila, foreign language articles on that niche! Then translate a whole article to English using the tool. This should yield you a unique, decently-readable English article that only needs slight editing for flow. Should take 10 minutes max in order to do, start to finish.

Given your level of English, my advice would be - screw the $2.50 articles! Anyone who pays $2.50 for a 500 word article should expect nothing more than auto-spun garbage, or content written by someone whose native language is not English.
At the very least you should be commanding $1 per 100 words, but try for $2-$3 per 100. Offer 300-400 word articles on Fiverr, at least then you'll be getting close to $1 per 100 words.

If you are an expert then you need 30 minutes for a good article of 500 words, and if you are starter you need 1 hour for a good article, anything less than that will be just ramblings
