I'm planning on setting up a few, as I only have one set up right now. Are there any hosting services that offer hosting for multiple websites while paying a fixed rate of like $7 a month?

How do you handle your hosting?

Check out Hostgator. I currently have them hosting 5 sites for $9.95 a month with the Baby package. There's a coupon code around here for $0.01 for the first month, well it's free technically, but the processing fee is $0.01.

Looking at it now but it says unlimited domains for around $7~ a month. Does this mean more than one separate sites?

Almost all hosts work like this. HG gives you hosting for unlimited domains for a fixed price.

I purchased the namecheap professional plan, do they work like this too?

Host gator is a good option and yes they do unlimited domains for $7. Try 25offtilldec31. Coupon will get you 25% off your monthly rate. GL!!

I think he's trying to ask if unlimited domains means unlimited websites can be hosted on one payment per a month of $7 or do you have to pay $7 per a website. Saying unlimited domains confuses. I honestly don't know the answer, so not I'm wondering.

I've been using Bluehost. I host domains purchased through there and ones transferred from GoDaddy. I even run Wordpress Multisite on this host which allows me to set up niche sites quickly. If you have a domain on another registrar, you can host it easily on Bluehost without having to transfer the domain! Pretty useful for testing with cheap domains.

A big bonus for me is that they have a solid affiliate program that earns well for me too. I have a few WSO's and marketing niche links to this that puts money in my pocket every month.

Hostgator is very good as well. Haven't used them myself but they operate pretty much the same.

It does 25 Addon Domains.

So this means they can only be extensions of my original domain? So say I have website1.com I can only do xxxxx.website1.com?

No, they can be completely different domains. You can do subdomains too.

You might want to look into 1and1.com. I went from godaddy to them and I have about 50 domains. They are pretty reasonable and unlimited with their business package.

Hostgator offer unlimited domain for $7+ a month i think...

dreamhost got a promo right now :) 6 dollars a month for 2 free domain registers and also unlimited domains hosting

I'm doing it on Hostgator. I have 4 sites setup plus a few subs.

I'm using bluehost and have 35+ sites setup. Not sure what I'm paying monthly but I'm pretty sure it's like $4/mo or something.

Cool the main thing I wanted to make sure is that I could have more than one website for the amount I was paying. However definitely considering Hostgator..

I am running 96 WP autoblogs and a few static HTML sites on Hostgator Reseller at $25 a month. You need to be aware of limits (throttling) on number of files you can run. I was throttled on shared hosting at Hostmonster so I had to switch to HG. Throttling simple means they put the brakes on you to slow down your use of resources. On Hostmonster my blogs had been taking up to 40 seconds to load -BAD!- and now they load in 2 to 4 seconds. My income has gone up dramatically! I did add a caching plugin and that helped speed things up as well.

Now, I am still trying to figure out how to combine image and Javascript files for even faster loading but I need a coder for that.

Anyway, I did get the 1st month for .01 using a coupon code. Just search Google for the latest one to use.

Hope this helps.

I use GoDaddy. I pay for the deluxe hosting ($80 something a year). I have a primary domain associated with that hosting, but setup sub-directories and have my other domains pointing inside those directories. It isn't forwarding, it is self-hosting.

You can host unlimited domains assuming you don't exceed your 150GB of server space.

I've been with them sine 1999.

No. You can host 25 different domains with them. I guess they allow unlimited sub domains..
