Submitting to too many blogs/social sites has negative effect?

I have read that if you post to too many social bookmarks or article sites this will have a negative effect from google?


I don't know what to do anymore

My plan was to submit every second day to about 10 ******** sites giving me 150 additional links a month.

Is it better to just submit to 150 sites once per month or split it up to 10 or so every few days?

Or if neither option is great, can someone suggest the best way?

Don't worry about how many times or how often you submit.

It's all about maintaining your keyword and content as relevant as possible.

Just like going for the keyword and content ON your website, you have to pay that same respect and attention to the OFF site links, promotions and content.

There are only two main ways you will drop out of favor if you are on the up and up...

1. failure to promote relevant content for your target keyword on and off your website.

2. promoting spins that are too close and being recognized as duplicate content, as to my understanding, the live monitors for search engines are reviewing these sites and checking for " spinners "...which, the new issue coming our way is cross-referencing articles for duplicate content in the meaning of the words, so if you spin an article and post all 5 versions to the same directory to get the same keyword, you will lose rank value.

You can however, still post spins for a relevant alternative keyword and it won't register as a duplication.

If I post the same article to 100 different article sites would that be a good idea or would I get penalised because the content is the same (But 1 article per site).

I doubt I really have the time to re-write an article 100 times just to make each one unique for each website I add it to.

As long as your submitting it to different articles directory it is fine.

If you go overboard with the social sites with a relatively new domain, you'll be sandboxed. I ran a test side by side with an established site over a year old. The older site was fine, the new site has been in the sandbox since the first of july and hasn't come out yet.

But if you keep generating the same number of links you will get out of the sandbox. But not sure when though.

You can get sandboxed for too many links of any kind in the course of a month especially when your website is too new. This means article submissions, blog comments, social bookmarking. G won't give you credit for the links.

You want to get a gradual build up.

I agree with twinkletoes. You have to do it slowly. People here submit to 50 sites and then they say it doesn't work. This is wrong, it does work, but everything you do you have to do it smart so it will look to Google natural. Try to visualize a natural way for some site to get links and not doing SEO. It would be good content that people like, then they link to that and advise people to read this. So, some blogs would recommend this, you would see some social sites that are starting to link to this. So thing for yourself, what does look more natural 10 links over 30 days or 300 links in 1 day and then none. Well, it's a basic stuff and everyone will tell you that for long term ranking you have to get links slowly over time. And you should always think of mixing different types of links. Some from blogs, some from blog comments, some from social sites, some from articles etc.
Also diversify the anchor texts that are linking to your site.
Everything you do, do it slowly and diversify.

The key is to have unique content in your posts, use one of the article spinners, and remember to spin your resource box as well.

Either getting links naturally or making it look natural, that is the key. Too fast on a new domain will land you in the sandbox. You can come out of it. I landed there for a few months, came out with 1200 backlinks and a PR of 1. Not a huge PR but I was glad to even have that since I was sandboxed. I just so happened to check my analytics and went WTF when I saw organic traffic to my site. Now I just have to work on it (if I ever get time) to build up the traffic to 50+ a day. I have it autoblogging on topic, using a unique content plugin. With some fresh articles, 1000 plus linkbacks, and push some traffic to the site, I should get some nice steady free traffic in a month or two. Its a phpbay site so i am not too worried about it. It will bring some nice profits if I can land 50 hits a day.
