So, you've just registered a domain, designed the web page, added content, done your onsite SEO and submitted your sitemap to Google.

What is your next step? How do you start off your back linking strategy on a brand new site?

Here's what I do:
----------------

1) 20-30 High PR Blog Articles
2) Link Wheel type links (30-40 web 2.0s) + thousands of blog comments pointing to them
3) 400 social bookmarks
4) Article submissions to 2000+ article directories (2 weeks after launch)

Sit on this for a while and see where I fall in the SERPs and then re-evaluate and customize my strategy accordingly.

I will sometimes do a Wiki Link blast as well. I get most of these gigs on fiverr, some on BHW.

Is this a good strategy? Is it too much? Too little?

How do you guys kick off your new sites?

I start out just commenting on relevant blogs and forums, getting direct traffic from related websites as much as I can.

For actual website SEO development, I just plan on paying for one of the great Black Hat World services available.

Do you do this for every internal page? Or do all your links point to your top domain, and the rest rank accordingly?

Hundreds of proven ranking system are over here, just keep your eyes open

my first thing would be to add links from relevant pages on my own network. Second step would be directory submission and social bookmarks. Third step build quality web2 properties and use them as a buffer. Blast web 2 properties. All that within 3 to 4 months.

I normally buy about 4 different link packages all 30$ or less, and spread them a certain amount of days apart, and then after that is done with I am around Rank 1-10. Seems quite simple to me. :P

I split them must. I put most of them on my root page. However, for articles, I will have one link to my root and 2 others to internal pages.

I also set up google alerts and then do some manual comments on related pages, however, I am pretty busy most of the time so I can't really keep on top of manual links, even though I should.

I've seen lots of promissing packages offered right here on BHW. However, when you have 10 or so MNS sites, $30 per link package, times 4 for each site really starts to add up.

Basically, I set myself a budget of $45 per site. I am still new, so I know I will make mistakes, I just can't afford to break the bank making them ;)

i am sure yo can rank pretty high depending on the keyword.
