register.com is worth registrar. few years back, they offered $1 domain.. and I booked 10 of them. Worked with all domain... and at the time of renewal, I wanted to get it transferred but they did not allow. They said it is against their promotional TOS... WTF, I had to pay $250 for 10 domain renewal...

Dont take from them, even if it is free OR make sure that you are allowed to transfer it later
