moving worpress without shutdown

Here the story:

I have a website, let's name it website1.com
Due to some hacking problem, slow and etc I would like to create fresh one without downtime.

So, couple days a go I create sub-domain at my hosting and build fresh content, let's name it sub.website2.com. When everything has been ready I linked domain website1.com to sub.website2.com.

But when I setting WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) into website1.com all pictures can't load. I tried to rename all script using plugins "search and replace" but not all of them can load. Some pics still blanks.

My temporary action to resolve are setting
WordPress Address (URL) --> sub.website2.com
Site Address (URL) --> website1.com

Everything looks like works fine. But google only indexed sub.website2.com and looks like didn't recognize website1.com.

I want to set both WordPress Address (URL) andSite Address (URL) to website1.com.

How can I do that?

Sorry you lost me on this one It's actually very easy to move WordPress from one directory to another or even to change hosts. I think you need to check out the official site

People dont move change there website address due to hacking problems, and the images not appearing may be coz you have not updated the hotlink protection in cpanel to include the newly created subdomain.

you're right, but how to solve it. I can't rename it one by one, it took decades.

You can do this with the Velvet Blues Update URLs plugin, or with a search and replace tool, or manually in your SQL database, by following the instructions at Tamba2's Tutorial "Moving your weblog inside your PC".

11: You must also check and edit 'store uploads folder' under Settings > Media or all your new uploads will continue to go into the old folder.

I still in progress of backup process, I think I'll do it with searchandreplace.php

you'll have to rename all the links inside Phpmyadmin and inside wordpress media directory. If you copy your hacked wordpress to a subdomain or anywhere for that matters, it is still unsafe. If you create a new installation then you won't have any issue. If you install a new wordpress then go to your first site and export the data and import them again to your second/new site. This should solve the media/content issue.

thank you, since sub.mydomain2.com is updated, so I don't have any content issue anymore.

my problem is how to change from sub.mydomain2.com to mydomain1.com

right now I can access this site with http://mydomain1.com
but I also can access this site with http://sub.mydomain2.com

some picture and content still bind to sub.mydomain2.com
when I change "WordPress Address (URL)" to mydomain1.com many pics not working
