How many twitter accounts per IP?

Personally I use 5 accounts per IP and haven't had any problems except when the proxy is already blacklisted.

It's not about how many accounts per ip but how you use those accounts which are on the same ip.
Try to randomize and humanize as much as you can, if they catch you spamming from 1+ accounts they will not ban rest of your accounts just because they are on same ip, they'll take in count profile picture (lack of), description, followers (lack of, similar number, aggressive following), similar content of tweets, same hostname in tweet links, similar account creation time, similar activity time ...

The only reason why you should use more than 1 IP is because Twitter have limits, both per account and per IP based.

If you try to [GET] too much from Twitter on the same IP within an hour, you'll be blocked from doing any more for a short period.

Therefore it makes sense to limit the amounts you use per IP if you're [GET]ing / retrieving something from Twitter.

You'll know yourself how many to use because Twitter won't be doing what you want it to do on that account, until 10-20 mins have elapsed and you're allowance is reset.

in my experience i got 20 accounts in 1 ip but my trick with be open 1 account per day to avoid account suspended

Accurate...In the sweet days of Tweet Attack I would spam from my IP using 250 accounts and when the request for captchas started I would slip in some proxies.

If you know what you're doing you won't need any more than 3-4 accounts?

Get real. I have one account with over 45,000 followers, another with over 25,000, another with over 20,000, another with over 12,000... the number of accounts is directly related to how big you are marketing and into how many different markets.

I have close to 50... in 50 different subjects and I'm confident to say I know what I'm doing.

4-5 is small fish. It means you're only marketing in 4-5 markets.

With regards to IPs.. I've been running over 45 on 1 (ONE) IP for almost a year - not had any problems at all.

I'm new to the social side of things, but I definitely agree that the whole IP limit thing doesn't make sense to me either. I keep thinking about libraries, schools, busy coffee shops, etc... and it doesn't add up that only 10 people (let alone 4-5 or just 1 at a time or whatever other nonsense people are spouting) would be using those connections for Twitter.

That said, I haven't had a chance to test it myself yet. I'm making my own bots for Twitter and am planning to do some testing, but I am wondering what you do to keep those 45 accounts safe? Even if you are just willing to give some hints that will help me with my testing, that'd be very much appreciated.

It's not about your ip address is about your email address. you can open as many as you want on that ip address if you have a new email for each.

as long as u can create a new mails no need to go proxy

lol hope you are not kidding then why do many of them complain that there accounts are getting disabledby using single ip..

People probally get there accounts baned for doing spammy stuff not by using the same ip. There is office buildings where they have 1-2 ip's hosting a thousand people logging into fb.com and twitter.com all day.

Even if it has to do more with IP, they still have tools to sort accounts by IP, if there are so many on one such IP, than an investigation may open up >.>

I am having only 5 twitter accounts per IP. This is because; twitter has certain limit. In case, we cross the limit, they can ban our accounts and I am very much conscious towards safety.
