Need your SEO expert opinion

Hello guys,

I hired a SEO firm to work on my site via freelancer dot com. They look legit with big portfolio etc. Our agreement was for 66 days to acheive top 10 for my keyword with 40 k monthly searches and a lot of competitors. It is sportbetting niche and it is a really profitable word. In our agreement they said that they will use on 'white hat' methods only to acheive those position. This was before 3 weeks and they build about 30 links per week (wtf)- directory submissions, SB, clasifieds posting and blog comment. The problem is that I'm not convinced that they will acheive top 10 with this method. My doubts are because I spent about 150 usd in fiverr seo gigs to acheive present positions page 3 ,spot 5. I suggest them to be more aggresive,because my competitors build 100s if not 1000s of links every day to be on page 1. They answered me that last thing they need is to give them directions how to rank site in top 10 and if I'm not stisfied then we need to cancel the agreement plus they said that they have their own methos which will be applied for the results. I said that we I don't want to cancel, but I'm confused now and don't know how to proceed. My 6th sense tells me that it is waisting of time but my other feeling tell me let see what will happened. My site didn't move at all even it droped with 1-2 spots. For those 3 weeks I didn't see any improvement. Do you guys think that those kind of links could help in my ranking? Any comments are welcome.

Type of the links that they are creating are not very strong type of links. And making 100-500 Backlinks per day won't hurt your site if it is 1 month old. So i think that this guys do not know what they are doing.

What i would prefer you is :
Find a SEO Company which offers advanced link building like Creating Link Wheels, Link Pyramids, Blog Comments with High Page Rank, Edu Backlinks and a pretty important think is to create forum posts in the niche you are with your links.

And than it comes the step 2 of SEO,
Which is after you increased your rankings somehow, you should know exactly what your competitors have more or less than you build more links or better content so you can start becoming stronger than your competitors.

Anyway it is a basic system which i go for my sites. But as i see there is no chance to rank with this type of links unless they are doing anything extra and you do not know.

For the types of links I said them exactly the same that these are not strong links and before them, I made for ex 5k link pyramid, link wheels, articles, senukeX blasts, blog comemnting and 400 SB and all that in one week. My site is 3 + years old so I had no issues with google.
They looks legit and I see that they have big portfolio with competitive keywords. Maybe they do something else which is not included at the report.
Any other comments are welcome.

I never show everything I have done for my clients (you have to keep some secrets).

those 30 links per week -> does this information come from your independent resources or their reports (again - they will not share all the info) + remember => no search engines not applications are able to show real amount of b-links

maybe they will use private network to boost your rankings..

so, don't worry - wait... maybe they even haven't started yet? ... still busy on something else

just, do they know that you've spent 150$ on fiverr? ... if not - inform them immediately (they have to know that).

I'm not saying that they are not legit or they are not a great company. They may be the best one in the market but as far as you told for the link building type, they are giving you weak links. Maybe they are doing other campaigns that you do not know but they show to you just this type of links.
If they promised that they will rank you than i think they have to do so.

The pace of their work is quite slow. In my opinion some unique content must be added in your site.
You can use free version of traffic travis to see a partial picture of what is going on with your site and what are your competitors doing or have done before.

H1, H2 tag insertion
Content optimization (Updating fresh contents in the targeted web pages)
Image alt tag
Canonical issue fixing
sitemap.xml file creation and update
robots.txt file creation and update
Google webmaster tool creation and monitoring
Google analytics code insertion and monitoring

After that we will go for Off page optimization which is as follows -

For starters ANY company promising x position in X amount of time is BS. I don't care what and who they are. If you are legit company you will not try to get quick sale but forge a business relationship to last. Unless you are working directly at Google designing the algo you are full of BS.

Secondly I am amazed as to how most of you think about SEO, You can NOT mention White Hate and Guaranteed Position together !! You can Not. You think number of links is the main factor in ranking ? It is only to the ones selling them to you.

Besides, look at big players, don't know like hubshout how many links do they build ? They fuxxing charge you $90 for 1 article writing ! And You know WHAT it is worth EVERY Penny!

BTW: the list above is great. I would however suggest Press Release First!!! I am not talking bullshit $45 PR, I am talking actual Press release on NY times and so on , A $1500, And it will be worth every penny.

If you do legit PR you can blast the shit out, whew I feel better, man I missed the SMX this morning, whatever, good luck

I'm sorry for my late response and thank you all for your cooperation. After I was thinking about this situation, I decided to cancel that project with seocycle. I was waiting couple of weeks and my site didn't move a spot with their service. They were worst seo company/service I was using in my life. Our agreement was for 220 usd and I prepaid them 120 which they don't refund, because of the work done. WTF I was ordering service here which was more powerful for 60 usd and they charge me 120 for 150 dir subsmissions, clasified posting and other weak links. Maybe that is their way to make money I will not use them again for sure and I'm not recommending them to anyone.
I ordered linkjoose of Tom4business here in BHW BST, I acheived good ranking last time I used his service and hopefully this time too.

hey i show the site and found that they have specific section of "pay on results" it means once u get result then only u have to pay them!! thn how can thy charge u in advanced and why u pay them in advance even though u didn't find any updates in ranking? u must have to tell them ur going to take action against them if they don't refund u !!! anyways this is just a suggestion as the really scenario only u and that company knows!! but best luck for future.. hope u get good ranking this time...

SEO is not only about building backlinks.... It has got many other features..... I own a company of my own providing SEO services and we give reports to the client but not everything, we keep some secrets with us also. Our client never complained or asked anything because we delivered everything in time including the rankings.......

The problem was that I hired them via freelancer dot com, because of that I paid them in advace 50%. First time they wanted to cancel the project, they said that they will charge 30 usd for the work done so far (crappy links) then as I wrote above, I wait couple of weeks and cancel the project. I will not taking any action against them. They are worst seo compay in the world. It is enough that I metion them here to the biggest IM comunity of Internet. If they were last seo company in the world I will not use them, even for free.

Thanks for cooperation. I know seo is not only about backlinks, but as we know they take big part of it. My on page seo is ok - h1,h2, keyword dencity etc. The problem was that they were not aggresive with links and didn't deliver promised results or at least I didn't sow any improvement at all. I'm agree that SEO companies should have secrets from the clients, but as they deliver results, who cares about the method.
