The cpc is so low...

I always end up ranking sites because I write articles and post them. Ive never tried to force a site to rank...

I have the bhs vps and a few other things. The competition is not that hard.

Would you start with the highest cpc or the most search volume?

Thanks!

Are these on exact or broad match?

Multiply the volume by the CPC to get an idea of value. If you can get the top result, you'll get about 20-30pc of that traffic - if you've got an exact match domain, should be easy.

If they're exact and dead easy, I'd be tempted by the 2900 and 3600 local monthly search ones.

If there is low competition and low CPC go for it not because it's low CPC but because you can get more traffic and you can also monetize it with anything else than adsense.

It's actually a tradeoff. I just ranked a website for three terms,
1st KW 90.5k exact, 8k usa, $1.23 CPC, 0.04 comp (EMD)
2nd KW 90.5k exact, 12k usa, $0.50 CPC, 0.03 comp
3rd KW 27k exact, 4k US, $1.23 CPC, 0.04, 0.03, 0.03 comp
and it was shit easy to rank. costed less than $5.

5% CTR on Adsense. Going to try CPA once my exams get over, should make more hopefully.

Plus, this website is ranking for like 300 terms, and can rank for around another 50 big terms(over 20k exact).

What do you think will be better? This, or a MNS with 1.5k exact, 1k US, $1 CPC, and 0.50 comp?

Plus, never forget about Interest based ads when you're using Adsense. And the adsense CPC isn't everything, some niches are more suited for products, some affiliate products, some amazon. CPC and comp. isn't everything, your ability to monetize that traffic is what matters.

Is there a beginner's guide somewhere on CPC and CPA and what exactly it may mean to me if I am trying to start a site?

You'll find plenty on this forum by using the search function or checking the download sections for nice .pdfs :)

To the OP, if you don't mind, what program is that? Doesn't look like the average MS interface! :)

Thanks for the replies :)

They are exact match search and exact match domains...so maybe it will be easy?

Its Open Office...

Guess I totally misundertood your point. I thought you meant why people bother ranking sites with low CPC.

What exactly are you asking?

i will look on highest CPC but also need to calculate the conversion that able to cover the cost.
Because higher CPC usually target keywords that more niche and higher conversion rate. That is why people able to paid more for niche keywords and bid less for mass keywords.

I cant believe it would be so easy! I have the hardest time ranking sites...all my traffic comes from articles I write. I guess I just looked at the search volume and cpc and figured I wouldnt make any money even if they did rank. Its a lot of work backlinking.

I woulndt promote anything less than:
1000 @ 1.00 min
500 @ 2.00 min
all 3.00

And if that 7.39 and 6.5 are buying keywords, I'd be on that bitch like a duck on a craw-dad.
