Meta description is same on multiple pages due to pagination so does Google consider it as duplicate content.

Meta description is something that G doesnt even consider these days. Dont panic. It's fine.

No, but it is stupid seo. The description should be for the page it iss on and be exclusive to that page.

oh really?...meta description is the text that you read in SERPS below the page title. I hope this guy doesn't give advice to anyone else..lol

You've not heard of penguin then I assume,it looks at content not visible by the visitor,this includes META.It's funny someone on webmasterworld or similar site asked a few cheap seo companies what they woul do and they posted what they THOUGHT was the stupidiest replies,among what they classed as stupid was someone checking their meta info.Well shows how little they know.Meta is looked at by penguin for keyword stuffing.I've tested this.How big a difference it makes,no idea but when I changed my meta keywords the homepage started ranking instead of pages.Apparently google now looks at your code as well,meta is code.
Anyway it's not the best advice to give saying it doesn't matter,wordpress is bad for duplicating your homepage description for every page,this means your page description is NOT good in many cases.
