Hey guys,

Just wandering on what tool do you use to analyze the top 10 SEO competition today.

I currently have Market Samurai and SERP Attacks, are they still reliable?

What's your favorite tool today?

I use combination of MS and Traffic Travis and SEOMoz.

Can't get better than this :D

Never use SEOMoz before, will check it out.

Although IMHO, Traffic Travis are not reliable, I perform a quick test yesterday on a long tail keyword. TT shows that the #1 spot has 0 PR, while SERP Attacks says #1 has PR 4. The data also incorrect for the rest of the top 10 on TT.

When i go to that site, the SEOBook tool bar shows PR 4.

I could be wrong, but i'm saying good bye to TT.

Thanks for your recommendation. :)

Check these out:
ultimate niche finder (grades hard)
keywordcanine.com (grades easy)
Stealth Keyword Competition Analyzer (SKCA) (grades medium)
ahrefs.com

Xtro

Thank Xtro.. Too bad keywordcanine are not for sold anymore... Currently checking out ultimate niche finder right now..

As a matter of fact, i bought Stealth Keyword Digger (SDK) 2 days ago. A pretty neat tool, IMO. Saves a lot of time on keyword research.

Just one minor downside, my IP got a temporary banned when using the software. I submit a support ticket and they said they are going to add proxy features on the next update. This is great news indeed. :)

After using SKD, i was thinking about buying SKCA, however after watching SKCA demo, the software only generates the summary of a keyword on at a time.

When performing a competition analysis, i normally have a look at the top 3 position of the keyword that i target. The amount of backlink to the page, PR, domain age and so on.

This is what missing on SKCA. We can't see the top 10 results as in MS, SERP Attacks or Traffic Travis.

But, i still considering on buying SKCA. What's your experience when using SKCA? Do you find it useful?

If you want to look at the Top 10 sites carefully then nothing beats Market Samurai. (for now)

I'd also recommend serpIQ as a Market Samurai alternative.

If you want speed for bulk keyword analysis then there are other tools.

I tried SKCA and it is extremely slow. About 15s+ per keyword.

Yeah.TT is not reliable. That's why I use combo of all.

I am using Ultimate Niche Finder, Stealth Keyword....

I have another tools like Traffic Travis, Niche Finder.. but not using much.

I still use MS for the top 10 competition as it gives me everything that I need to know at a glance.

Thanks for you insights on SKCA, i will take into consideration before buying it. SerpIQ looks fantastic btw.

1. SEOMoz
2. SEMrush
3. MS

So basically, there are no other desktop software that are better than MS today, huh?

Perhaps there's another tool you guys can recommend. I'm all ears.

Again, thanks for all the recommendation guys. :)

I use SKCA ALL the time and have been for over a year. It is slow because it does a lot of analysis and gives you very accurate results that you can make decisions on. He also provides good support via email, usually responding within 24 hours. I was a MS user for well over 7 years but in the last 2 years they have become a joke, I don't even think about running ms any more.
