Backlinking a competitor site with porn anchor text?

If you google my name there's a ridiculous article written about me in the local newspaper that I can't seem to overtake with AMR Blasts, Web 2.0 Profiles and Blogs I've created... The stupid article is still sitting in #2 position after 1 month. From what I can see there's no links to it so I'm wondering if I do a fiverr scrapebox blast with "sex" or "viagra" or any porn related anchor text if Google will devalue the article rank.

Has anybody tried this or give me any advice to bump this article down?

Thanks!

Blasting with adult links definitely de-index that site. But beware after some days google will unlift the penalty and that site will bounce back strongly. It may come to spot 1.
Never do this.

Don't do it! My tests have shown that blasting an authority site with shitty links just makes the ranks go up! :(

@scorpion king: Are you just basing that on speculation or have you actually done any research?

**NOTE** Blasting a tiny site with shitty links will in most cases get it Google slapped.

@razzdazzle: what you should do is build high pr web 2.0's that mention your name. Facebook, Twitter, Wordpress, BlogSpot, and similar are great starters.

yeah, do it. that way they can rank #1 for 'buy viagra' and 'sex', make millions of dollars and you will regret every day of your life you didn't blasted your site

Don't rely on this strategy. What scorpion king is saying is completely true and the site will come back with a vengeance. It's a dirty temporary strategy regardless. Just out-SEO the article.

Why would you even think of doing that? I'm sorry but you should be banned for asking questions like that. While BH SEO is not the fairest game, but this is just too much. Concentrate on your website, not on your competitors.

hahaha I definitely won't be backlinking enough that it'll be on the 1st page for those keywords generating Millions of Dollars

Banned for asking this? lol Take it easy! Being banned won't stop me from trying it... you just won't get to learn what the results were!

I've read through alot of posts on here that mention it'll only boost the site in ranks, but I really don't see how that's possible if there's only sex related links pointing to the page. It's an old newspaper article talking about a stupid lawsuit I was in over 1 year ago that went in my favour because the claim was ridiculous, but the effin article is tarnishing my name.

I've signed up for almost every social profile imaginable based on a list that's been floating around here recently and I still can't beat it. Should I try SEOing the Profiles? if so, anyone have any recommendations?

Make some web 2.0 sites or microsites, talking good about you, and rank them. Even if you can't outrank the article with all of them, alot of good reviews will hopefully make up for the bad one.

Honestly, negative SEO rarely works. People have already mentioned why. I do know of some techniques that will give temporay negative results but you should never go down that route. Only thing I can suggest is to look into reputation management. i.e try and get 10 sites to rank for the keyword they currently hold and knock them out of the top 10. I know it's a lot of work but if it's that important you can/should do it.

Just out of interest why is the newspaper bad mouthing you? If the information is false and you have proof of them harming your business/name/income then you can file a law suit.

edit: by "rank for the keyword they currently hold" I meant your name.

what about ping the link loy of time per days for several days ?
