With BMR gone... whats next?

So googles deindexed a load of BMR sites and other blog networks... anyone care to share any that are still live?

i think the current targets on Googles hit list were sourced from a story on SEOMoz so theres gotta be some others around.

Doesn't matter, it's finished. But it was called build my rank, private blog network.

To the op, start building your own high pr network. The other paid networks are finished.

BMR is Build My Rank. I used it to link to hubsites and to some T2 and T3 pages on an authority sites. The Hubsites crashed but the authority site is doing fine.

I used the blog networks because my VAs had free access to them.

Google Engineers claim they can identify a whole network starting with only 1 link from it. If that's true no large link selling network is safe.

You could build your own on web2.0 properties.

The source wasn't directly from Google I am pretty sure.

It was in an audio or video. I think it was either "link liberation" or "black hat is back". I worked through both courses at the same time.

The author said that he could manually map out a paid link network.

well it would be quitye simple, the find one of the sites, check all outgoing links on that sight, then check all the back links of the out going links then see ow they corelate.

Sure pretty much all major blog networks got struck. However the norminative network ALN "only" lost around 33% of their blogs which ain't much when compared to BMR and HPS.
It's most likely because there obviously were no footprints on the network and thus google had to manually track each individual domain down.
Furthermore ALN 2.0 is released which IMO looks like a great deal of improvement. I'd definately prefer ALN over the other networks as the situation currently stands.

What's funny as hell as that every time Google whacks a link source, BOATLOADS OF LINK SPAM moves to other networks/sources.

The same applies for duplicate content. Google devalues duplicate content so people spin the shit out of their articles. I bet many unaware end users that see these articles think the internet is full of a bunch of rejects that write like they have tourette's syndrome. lol

For better or for worse, Google is shaping the internet in every move they make.

The best thing to do as someone said above is to build your own on web 2.0 sites. You can safely build one on web 2.0's whereas with your own domains it's alot more difficult and expensive to do without being caught.

Bobgoe, you don't need to invest a lot of money if you do it right. If you use the right methods you can do it for as low as 1.50 a month per IP

Class c ips aren't the answer. Google has more computation power than we can grasp. If they see 15 sites linking to one site with a spun article, they can easily map the rest of the network. You could do the same thing manually without knowing anything about the backend. That's the trouble with such high profile sites.
