I am wondering what are some recommended software or website to make cool videos between 30 seconds to 3 minutes.

I plan to invest in this.

I am currently looking at Goanimate.

Videomated has videos but only upto 25 seconds or so.

Text to Video software / svcs are good too.

Youtube has a tool that allows you to do a mix of videos that have already been sent and no copyright,

Isn't YouTube an option? There are probably a lot of software to create the videos that you desire. You can also make videos through a camera function and convert the file for your computer.

There are variety of software available it mainly depend what type of videos you are making.

I just wanna make short videos with some information about my business (promo video between 45 seconds and 1 minute). probably using aftereffects.

Care to share any favorites you might have?

Aftereffects is good. You can buy some video templates from videohive or you can just outsource the work to fiverr.

Yes, I was checking out VideoHive last night. Fiverr is good, but I have a bunch of videos to make, and so was thinking of buying a product to do so myself.

AfterEffects is the best choice! I like Adobe products, because you can mix and connect them (AE + PR + PS + EN +... ) in your projects and have great plugins, presets (trapcode etc.) as well.

Good luck!

Yeah I agree AEs is definitely the way to go so long as you know your way around it somewhat, unfortunately it's steep learning curve turns alot of people off from using it. However the level of professionalism you can achieve with AEs, no other program can match IMO.

I too would recommend VH temps, you can edit them to suit your needs relatively easy and the results are absolutely awesome! If your looking for specific VH temps let me know I may have what you need, I have hundreds of them I use them often.

Good luck

download a 30 day trial of Camtasia. I use camtasia to record all of them. After 30 days you just have to reload your os and you can reuse the software as many times as you like for free, of course there are other ways around that problem. :santaclau

I take it, you know a thing or 2 about Adobe :)

hhmmm.. i love free stuff.. go to animoto.. signup and use free.

the videos will be a short 30 second so if you are planning a 1 minute video, then think wisely how to make two videos and just combine the two later.

once you have 2 videos from animoto, download "free video cutter" and trim animoto's logo each time the video ends.

combine the two using windows movie maker, put some embellishments..

done.

smile and upload. :-)

Thanks for your ideas! Will def. do this

Hi rr4111

If you're looking for easier programs to simply pick up and run with to start using I totally recommend both Camtasia and Animoto!
I can be a dunce learning so many new programs and those two are easy enough to start from scratch and
start making tons of videos quickly!
Also they are both advanced in their own ways and can work well together if you want to combine their styles.

edit - I "also" recommend them. I read the thread, just adding my perspective
