Content from deindexed site

I had a site that was deindexed in google several months ago (I think it was because of STT2 but not sure) and I was wondering if the content on this site could be used on a new site and be considered as unique in the eyes of google? Just wanted to get some opinions from you guys.

I would trash the content and start with fresh content on the new site. Will cost a bit more but necessary.

I have a client who posted the exact posts in a deindexed blog into another fresh blog... 2 months later, even that is deindexed. Not a good idea IMHO

The content won't get you de-indexed, its the backlinking.

The content should be fine on a new blog, just do do any of the same backlink building.

it was deindexed in mid January. How can I tell if it is in googles cache still?

yes I mostly agree with you but I had a lot of really good content on the site that people loved. I got deindexed cuz of some bh shit that was going on with the site or cuz of having ads above the fold, really not sure since they will not tell you why. This happened right when G made that announcement about ads above the fold awhile back. I was just thinking that since the site got deindexed the content could be used again and be unique. But yes I might not want to risk it. Just wanted to get some opinions from the community.

The way I see it is I could just build a site real quick and not have much to lose just to see what happens.

You got de-indexed which is the worst that can happen to a site. You need to learn the lessons and start completely fresh as already mentioned. Some people are telling you its only the links but its not. Learn your lessons and start new and you can just re write the old content with different words but as long as its unique or write even better articles and do not look for the quick and easy way or else you learned nothing from the last time and something will keep going wrong.

Google uses what is called a supplementary index which is for pages that's not good enough to be in googles main index. Google stopped showing the suplemental index to the public about 5 years ago and is now only visible to google themselves.

If a page was once crawled by google then be sure that google still knows about it.

Yes this is what I was unsure of. So if it is still in the supplemental index is there a chance the site could be redeemed? If so what would be the best way of going about doing this. I requested a reconsideration but the site is still deindexed. Is there anyone out there who has gotten a site back in the serps after being deindexed?

In webmastertools did you receive a message saying that your site has been removed? If not then there is no need to submit a reconderation request.

Go to google and search for your entire domain ie: http://www.yourdomain.com
Does your domain appear in google? If it does then you just need to build more actual pagerank to your pages as long as your site structure is ok.

Pagerank is the only metric you need to index pages. If your site doesn't have enough links from pages that are indexed then google will not see your pages as good enough to be in the main index.

To answer your question: No I did not receive a note that said it was removed. I did get one that said there were quality issues though. webmaster tools said go to the forum for help. That was a waste of time lol. No my domain does not appear in google serps. I have run the query site:www.mydomain.com (and all the variations"as well as just mydomain.com. Its gone no sign of it. My site structure is fine and i was getting tons of traffic right b4 it was deindexed. Again does anyone know of someone who has brought a site back from being deindexed?

I was deindexed only for 1 search, the rest I still show up in the #1 or top 5 spots.

What do you think caused this? I did try out BMR. Will my site that is 15 years old ever recover?

No I think you are mistaken. I know that there is a site which is named very similar to mine but please check the spelling carefully because it is only 1 letter difference. look for the "points". The site you are referring to only has "point" .this site took my exact position in the serps when I was deindexed. which I thought was very strange
