Is pinterest really good for making money?

I've been actively using pinterest for 3 weeks now. I've earned a whopping $1.60 from adsense during this time. I've posted numerous pics using popular pins.

I've tried clickbank products....traffic is not converting too well on pinterest. Has anybody else had decent success with pinterest?

I haven't tried it, but the demographic for it is almost all women, earning mostly $25k-$100k/year between the ages of mostly 25-45, with a fair few 18-15 and 45-55.

That demographic isn't ideal for clickbank.

The type of people on it are also fairly intelligent, more enlightened than most of the general internet. You get very positive vibes from the site.

Compare it with youtube which is a very very negative site full of hatred. There's a lot of love/beauty/creativity on pinterest. Selling to that marketing is very different to selling to the needier masses.

I would suggest build a blog with quality content in a particular niche related to women and drive traffic to it!

I had a spot of dumb luck with Pinterest, and was able to make ~$250 through Adsense and $??? with one affiliate offer (doesn't update until noon Wednesday) between Sunday and right now, but it was mostly because a pin I made went viral for some reason and drove ~100k hits to my brand new Blogger. Still trying to figure out exactly what I did right and wrong or if it truly was just 99.99% dumb luck.

Nothing too special but one thing I will say for sure is Pinterest CAN drive insane amounts of traffic! In the next few weeks I'll be running more Pinterest trials and will do a post if I figure anything out conclusively as far as what is and isn't working.

if nothing else you could just drive huge loads of traffic to a website that you are going to flip. REAL GENUINE Traffic! I can bring about 400 UV in like 10 minutes without mucheffort..
