Im begging you, read this.

Advertise on BHW
Just ignore it and leave the modding to the mods. Yeah it's annoying, but maybe it'll bring some much needed life to the Youtube section which is currently being ruined by a bunch of egotistical and obnoxious children.

just ignore it guys, all it takes is to decide not to click the thread, ie ignore it

Regardless of what some people might tell you, post count and rep don't count for shit. Scumbags come in every form.

I'm sympathetic to your cause, but there are nearly as many threads begging noobs to stop asking (and they won't), as there are actual threads where a noob asks about it.

The more everyone ignores it, the quicker the scrubs will dissipate.

You're right. I've been here for a while and I see that BHW more and more becomes like DP...

I guess marking the section as noindex or even the whole forum will prevent ppl from finding those threads via search engines and thus decrease the flow of bs that has been appearing on BHW lately.

I know of a GREAT forum that used to do this besides examining all new members till they became well known and the moderation got harder so they closed the forum for new registrations and disallowed spiders from crawling any of their pages. Now this forum is better than ever specially after weeding.

Yeah. I couldn't even imagine bhw having to examine each new member...lol they would need like 100 full time staff, or just a unit script clicking deny every time :P
 
Examination shouldn't be done by dedicated staff! The rep system could be edited to enable negative reputation as well and with some community awareness a formula could be put in place where at a certain negative reputation a member gets banned.

Neg repping is already a feature of the forum but you could have people ganging up on their competition and neg repping them just to get them banned
