All you would have to do is to run a backlink check on the URL through a tool such as scrapebox etc. this will let you pull a list of backlinks your competition is using.
There are many many useful tools. You think you only need to check competitors now, but after you do that, your eventually going to be wanting to check pagerank of those links in bulk and so on and so forth.
Save yourself the time and money and just get scrapebox. Its an all in one kind of tool for different things. I dont even use the main feature to post comments, however, I use many of the tools .
If you want to look at how the competition are linking back to their pages and where they've placed their links on, you can use blacklinkwatch and linkdiagnosis - both tools are working perfect for backlink analysis.
Scrapebox is great for researching competitors, finding new blogs to comment on, doing product research or even gathering facts and info for your next blog post or article.
