While this is inspiring, this has been the case for quite some time.
It's posts like this (on Seomoz) that make me hate the Seomoz community
as a whole. Even on BHW we've got enough respect (and rules on the forum)
in which we'd never blatantly give out someone's URL like that.
As someone else already mentioned in this thread, I find it funny that they get
pissed that someone like us, can rank for such a lucrative keyword and not be
a multi-billion dollar company. Rankings shouldn't be based on the size of a
company or the revenue.
Instead, its guys like those that live on Seomoz that think that they are getting
results with through the "white hat" approach when working with these Fortune
500 companies. The truth is most of them don't have a flipping clue about what
really works. Instead they charge an arm and a leg (no problem with that)
change a few title tags and make some corny ineffective link bait infographic
and turn into the next big SEO guru. An old employee of mine, who never, and
still doesn't have a CLUE about SEO is now giving talks at many of the popular
SEO conventions. What's funny is when you really get down to the nitty gritty
with many of the white-hat self proclaimed gurus, they really don't know a whole
hell of a lot about what works, and what doesn't.
Frankly I find it disgusting.
