We need a BHW forum theme changer

Can you guys add a white corp looking theme for people that are in the office and surfing the threads, the black screen makes people look over at it.

Maybe an incognito version, even change the logo to a microsoft logo or something on a white theme, nobodies going to ask about that

Joking aside there are some greasemonkey scripts and other stuff that can change the theme for you. That is if you have something other then Internet Explorer installed on your computer.

I agree. Although this is a Blackhat forum it's kind of synonymous with having a Black background, but sometimes you gotta change it up, having the same background and site colors is like wearing the same shirt everyday.

yes....there should be option to change the theme.. i mean black theme put lot of stress on my eyes.. cause i stay online around 8 hours a day at BHW..

so at the end of day.. my there is so much stress on my eye.. because of black screen..

so please put the theme change option...and also i also access BHW from office...

I still think it's necessary to change the background. The black one is really harmful for the eyes.

Seriously BHW doesn't need a black skin to be the best IM forum. It's because we have here so many great guys who contribute their informative posts and help each others.

Wait, ^ some of y'all say that black text on a white background is easier on the eyes to read for hours? That be interesting.

I always felt it was the other way around. I can be all day on BHW and have my eyes be good to go, but I can't stand looking at text files all day.

Less light (seemingly) emitted to your eyes with a black background. Some studies suggest black backgrounds save energy, other say it wastes more. I read that using an LCD with black is either negligible savings or negligible waste (but you gotta extrapolate it to thousands of monitors for real results, obviously). OLED is generally seen to save more energy with black. UCLA did a study where LCD had savings over CRT.

I disabled page style to check out BHW with white and: No. If there was a white background, I wouldn't use it. It makes me sad. Maybe gray? Maybe BLACK!

But in terms of browsing BHW in locations where it would be deemed uncouth to do so: disabling page style works nicely (if you use firefox). disable imaging and ads (you jerk) and you're pretty good to go.
