Is cpa marketing viable if you aren't up to speed with using a graphics package like photoshop or gimp? I've been after giving cpa marketing a try but from what I can tell the key is to get an offer that converts and to find that out you need to test lots of elements. So what's the answer?

If you feel that graphic design is not your specialty, you could hire someone to do the work for you. If you are low on budget, there is probably someone on fiverr that will crank something out for you.

Thanks Cruzino - I would say you're right and yes budget is a problem which is why I have not started on it as of yet. Just concentrating on becoming a pro seo guy for right now but I can see that there's an awful lot of money in it if you get it right.

I always outsource graphics work, simply because I have no knowledge in it. I mean, I own Photoshop, but can't use it...LOL! Anyways, it's easier to just have it outsourced...try Fiverr or in forums BST sections!

the best way to make banners that got pretty high CTR is by using ur copywriter skills. I always keep my banner simple with white background, courier new font, saying something like "important: newly FDA approved bla bla bla, thousands of people have got their bla bla bla healed in no time without surgeries." I highlight some words that i think very appealing like "important" and I include a clear CTA like "read more" it works wonders. no image or design skill sort of stuff

Do you minimize the amount of colors used as well? I'm curious if you've split tested this against a banner that you paid a designer to create. I like the simplicity of the idea, its kind of like craigslist with the less is more strategy.

Always,always, learn wordpress first. That'll give you ability to have very good looking sites with a few clicks - in almost any niche.

CPA networks will give you nice banners for any offer you will promote.

You don't need to know photoshop to make money. You need traffic to these sites. Traffic generation is another thing then, and again, no photoshop needed.

So don't worry, just start learning and eventually you'll make money!

Thanks to you all for answering my question - much appreciated - you're right Lizmoz about the traffic aspect, although using ppv and other instant traffic packages can help in this regard.

I've still not made a start in the cpa game as you need to be able to upscale a working funnel and for that you need a good budget. I do agree with all your comments and will be outsourcing the work along with stating that they create basic banners as a split tester.

I know the banners that have white backgrounds with hand written fonts in red are really effective on a clean streamlined looking page with a professional sheen to it. It's like noticing dirt on an otherwise spotless window.
