Adsense banned from clickbomb attack when I was sleeping- what now?

I think your better off not using adsense. There are better ways to monetize your site, I would never hand my traffic over to google.

Use CPA offers instead. They pay more and you have more freedoms other then being a traffic whore for Google.. FUCK ADSENSE!!

Media.net, the best adsense alternative around.

Ill go with that, I am becoming more and more happy with them. The other day I actually made more money from them in one day then adsens. And they dont seem to be as strict about things.

Sorry to hear about your plight OP. Forming an LLC is easy to do. Just grab a template off the internet, get submission directions from your secretary of state, set up as a home based biz, ask your bank what docs you need to set up a business bank account, set up with adsense again. Then you can set up paypal account under that biz name too if you want. This will also provide some what of a corporate veil for you too. In fact you can hold certain assets in different LLCs to protect you from any potential liability. Some people have several adsense account with different LLC names.

If you're going LLC and you are in the states, from what I remember, you can incorporate in any state... just pick a PO box place in the state (a big plus if they can give you a 'street address for the PO box') and then register it there. Delaware used to be the cheapest.

In the meantime, look into the niche - see if you can find CPA products or services that you can advertise. You may make the decision to scrap the entire Adsene route completely.

Good targeted CPA SHOULD out perform Adsense... when you think about it, that only makes sense cause for you to get paid for Adsense, that means someone else is buying that adspace and paying for those clicks to sell their product or service - go the direct route - if you are getting organic traffic, go to the other sites that come up under the same search and see who is coming up on their adsense - then go to those websites and see if they have a decent affiliate program. If they do.. that could be your money shot right there.

Do the same to him

I agree, but I would say that they work better for niche sites, sites with different types of content will not get relevant ads.

I have split tested with them and they do just as well, if not better, with a few of my sites. When it comes to contextual ads, I would rather take a small hit in income than use adsense too much, media.net has been great.

That is disgusting, im sure it was the guy who sold it to you. Leave him negative feedback now!!

Email them and explain what happened. I recently got banned and by acting calm and explaining my situation in an intelligent honest way got my account UNBANNED. Took about 2 weeks but got it back :)

First, how did you know it was clickbomb that got you banned? Your best bet would have been to show them the ip's of the person responsible for such behavior. But i have to tell you about a technology used by Google when investigating click fraud:

FIRST THEY DO A GEO MAP OF WERE the clicks are coming from. If the clicks are coming from your area then you have problem.

If you're in bangladesh and the clicks came from the same country, you can kiss the account goodbye. Google is able to identify your location even with most proxies, because they all leak information sometimes.

Next, they look at your adsense account and see if you had any suspect clicks in the past that would reveal a pattern.

Options:

switch your name around and apply again. Or just set up a corp and hide behind that. Goodluck.

Believe it or not, I am really happy that this happened to me.

Why? Because it has shown me that I cannot rely on Adsense. I may persue them again after forming a corp. But either way this was great thing to have happen.

It could have been a lot worse also, I only lost $10. It could have been thousands.

RAYRAY7, No I am not in Bangladesh I am in the US.

Banned from AdSense about a year ago but it was probably the best thing that could happen to me because I learned so much about affiliate marketing and its potential afterwards. Now, I make my authority websites based around affiliate income and my micro-niche websites around AdSense.

The trick to staying with AdSense is -- and I've noticed this a lot of times with a couple of buddies accounts is to alert Google as soon as you notice the invalid click activity on your account. Google does not IMMEDIATELY ban your account, but instead takes a day or two -- maybe to give you a chance to alert them? What sucks is that they have no support whatsoever and once you're banned, the chances of getting your account back are very little. I made a new account some time ago and working good now.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has posted in this thread. You have given me a lot of hope.

You have shown me that
1. There are good Adsense alternatives.
2. Forming a corp can really help.
3. Many of you have had problems such as this and it worked out in the end for you.
4. This is a very helpful forum.

Thanks! I hope to continue down this path and one day share my knowledge back to others.

Media.net, the best adsense alternative around.

From their terms
media.net shall not:
Monetize traffic received from countries other than US, UK and Canada
That's disappointing, I get that they're tier 1 but in Adsense at least you get some sort of monetization for other countries too.

There is no way for Google to know whether you asked for the clicks or not. The bottom line is that invalid activity harms the paying customers, the AdWords advertisers.

If Google didn't take a hard line about invalid activity, fewer advertisers would buy ads, and then every Publisher would lose out.

I know it's frustrating not to know for sure what's going on, but that's how the system works.

The thing to keep in mind is that true click bombing by strangers is almost certainly quite rare. Many people who loudly proclaim that that their AdSense account was disabled for "no reason" can be easily shown to have encouraged people to click on their ads. I'd bet many of the others are simply smart enough to have at least gotten rid of the evidence before posting in the help forum.

There are things you can watch for in your AdSense account: earnings disappearing over the course of a day are likely a sign that invalid activity is being detected and corrected for. The same is true if you are getting a lot of recorded clicks, but no earnings for those clicks.
