Hi, please PM me the proxy list you are testing. I will test it on our development server to determine if the issue is with your PC or the proxy list. :) Also, send me a screenshot of the 'About' window so I can see which version you're using.

Yes, you can still extend your trial by 7 days by liking us on Facebook :) You have to use the text in red bold that you see when you start the program up. :)

Edit: I see you found it now, great! :)

I have finally bought Proxy Multiply.
Is there a support forum?

The software isn't saving the tested accounts to file. I've set the frequency of automation to 30 mins & to overwrite the text file every automation cycle. but still nothing is being saved!

Im also having a problem.. I select get proxies the app retrieves the minimum number of proxies but stops there. It used to then test working proxies and output a file to a specified directory but not anymore. Any Help on this please??

Jrim Software has been established for 4 years. We are not a 'here today, gone tomorrow' type of joke you might see other places in SEO. If we stop offering the proxy judge, then you will just return to using public judges as before. Supportive measures to assist in that would be integrated into PM. However, the program has already been greatly improved by utilizing this private service, so why stop it?

Why are you now selling this then?

Hi, please see this entry from the FAQ:

Q: I HAVE PROXY MULTIPLY SET TO OUTPUT TO A TEXT FILE AUTOMATICALLY, BUT IT NEVER DOES.

First, make sure you have automation enabled (Configuration -> Automation). In order for a file to be outputted, the program must first run automatically and the automation cycle needs to finish. The text file will be written after the program finishes scraping and testing proxies, AND if it has met your configured threshold for proxies. If you are never hitting the minimum threshold number, try lowering the number of proxies set as the threshold

Im also having a problem.. I select get proxies the app retrieves the minimum number of proxies but stops there. It used to then test working proxies and output a file to a specified directory but not anymore. Any Help on this please??

See above. The application will only do that if it has finished an automation cycle.

Lewi, I'm sure the community appreciates your efforts in doing some detective work, but we have the rights to the software and thus it is ours to sell. Proxy Multiply is in perfect working order and thus the customers have received what they paid for. I can assure you that anybody spending $XXXX dollars (as a bidder) will be taking care of a product as opposed to just letting it die - that would be a waste of money. Don't forget, that's if the auction even hits the reserve and sells, and yes the reserve is $XXXX (4 digits).

although I haven't bought the software yet, im in my second day of trial as we speak..

the sentences I bolded are only true to a certain extend.
you sold the product with FREE lifetime support guarantee.. you cant guarantee that the buyer of the product will keep that promiss, hell he could even introduce a monthly fee.

so yes you gave the customer what he paid for to a certain extend some examples:

  1. when your product hits the reserve and sells then who is responsible/taking care of the lifetime guarantee and support ? you or the buyer ?
  2. how can you be sure that the person who buys your software knows how to develop software..chances are that somebody buys it because of the customerbase/profit only and doesn't develop the software any further.
my impression of this whole thing is that you developed a good tool, offered it for a too low price, then came to the conclusion that your customers where very demanding in updates , new features. so the product wasn't that profitable anymore due to extra development time it was consuming.. and therefore you sell it to earn some of the extra development time back.

I was going to buy this software for sure, but whole this twist / possible owner transfer thing is going to delay my order until I know more about the future of this product and its owner.

that's just my 2 cents, nothing personal, just my analysis of the situation

Regards,

Alexj

Alexj, thank you for your feedback.

Yes, customers are demanding, but that was not unexpected. Several other programs are offered under the Jrim Software name and updates are a part of every product. However, the updates have allowed us to mold the software to be more what the customers are looking for, ensuring that the product is that much more fitting for the next person. Issuing updates is an investment, both in future customers and existing.

Honestly, the thought process was that the software is in a near-perfect state now (always room for improvement, right?) and is as feature packed as everybody has requested, so the new 'owner' would in a sense only be handling customer support e-mails/processing problematic sales/etc. However, it seems some ethical questions have been raised as far as 'abandoning' the customer base that were not seen from our point of view before.

It is not appropriate to discuss the exact reasons for selling here as it is has many influencing factors but the community (and customer) response has made a significant impact on the decision. If anybody else is willing to voice your opinion taking this post into account and our logic behind selling the software, your feedback would be appreciated.

As illustrated in the past, we generally only follow the actions that the customers support and stand behind, and this issue is no different.

I admit that MP is almost perfect and feature packed. Actually the main feature that affected my purchase decision is it's proxy judge and how I don't have to worry about finding dependable judges or setup my own and have all the hosting hassle that might come with it.

This is why I got worried when I heard the news as this feature may be the base element of a monthly based subscription. Still the features offered by the software will make it harder to develop a monthly based bundle -but who knows- the new owner may go in another direction and sell a totally different proxy based product -such as private lists- and include MP with the internal judge as an addon or whatever...

Although I wish the developers of MP the best, I hope they won't sell the site.

I don't like -also- the idea of being sold as part of a product, I mean the customer base which I'm part of.

Hi Off3rz, thank you very much for sharing your opinion. We appreciate that you can understand the advantage of not having to find and rotate proxy judges!

The sentiments of the community appear to be clear here. Too much is left open to possibility (positive and negative changes) with new ownership. Proxy Multiply is no longer for sale. :)

i am playing still with PM on my trial but i have a question:

what is a good number for the number of threads? i am using 50

I believe that this initiative will always backup Jrim Software's name & reputation. Buyers will prefer buying from a company that values the community over fast profits.

I wish you all the best and hope you take the chance and develop more tools for the community. ;)

Best regards,
Off3rz

Hey black, the best number is what your PC and internet connection can support. Try stepping up to 60 threads and advance in increments of 10, testing proxies in-between to determine if your PC/internet can handle the increase in threads or not. Please note you do need to click 'Stop' between the proxy tests to give the program a chance to load new threads based on the new configuration.

We agree 100%, thank you! :)
