How do I know If I'm penalized?

one more thing

it didn't show before, but the last two days i'm seeing the number of backlinks increasing massively in Webmaster t00ls

WTF is G doing. I checked my rank for the main keyword (the one that got out of top 300) yesterday and magically it had appeared in the top 15 results. A few hours later it was gone again. Today, the same thing is happening again.

By the way all the results are changing when this happens. Only the #1 stays the same and all other results are different.

its a dance, the exact same thing happened to me at the start of the month, all my rankings are currently back To exactly where they was before the dancing

if you got penalized by un natural links you are screwed. they want you to remove majority of those links before remove penalization

One way to check is to enter your site's title tag into google. When you enter it with quotes, it should be at the top spot. Without quotes, it should still be pretty high, at least first page or second page of Google.

However, this method will not work if you have a generic title tag. It has to be somewhat unique.

I once had a site that got penalized pretty badly. I tried entering the unique title tag into Google in quotes and it was always at position 950 or something like that. If it is on the first or second page of Google, it should just be the dance.

Ramsweb, what about a page that does not show up at all given your exact title search but the page is not deindexed? What would you do to get back to normal? I think deleting backlinks is impossible so what to do?

im in a similar situation around the 5th some of my rankings dropped significantly.

They are showing #1 for "domain.com" and site:domain.com. but in the results for my emd keyword the hompage is no longer showing for results (which has given the huge drop in ranks as now random inner pages are showing up instead)

No messages in WMT, does this sound like a penalty?

You'll feel a sharp pain in your ass! Haaahahahahaaaaaa

hahahaha !!! lol nicely said

It's better to be quiet and let people think you're stupid, than to open your mouth and prove them right ;)

This unfortunately sounds like a penalty or sandbox. Deleting backlinks won't help I don't think. The site that I had sandboxed got sandboxed because of a pretty obvious link wheel about a year ago. I was just experimenting with the link wheel and got hit hard.

I deleted the link wheel and re pinged the backlink urls again. Nothing happened though. It remain penalized for almost a year and I dumped it. I think you have to work on better backlinks and content to get out of the sandbox now. Fixing the previously completed backlinks is just a waste of time imo.

Your link is dropping down and do not get indexed in the pages of Google then it seems that you will be penalized.

All the pages dropped significantly for their keywords, but G still indexes the new pages in a matter of hours. Links in webmaster t00ls still increasing. I still wonder if this is a big dance......

by the way, no messages from G or anything....
