Has youtube new algorithm to rank videos?

Hi. I have - one question - Has youtube new algorithm to rank videos? I heard it from my friend.

I cannot see I've seen a change on youtube.co.uk however its entirely possible and might have only appeared on youtube.com...

What is Mobile Views?

And yea they are changing it because people are abusing the mobile views

Guys, come on, don't be silly, do you think that YT could program and release such a huge algo change in just a week or so?

This has nothing to do with the Mobile Views thing and it was planned to happen anyway.

Furthermore, I'm no programmer but I'm pretty sure at the moment they have no way of calculating the play time of a mobile video since it's played by external applications and not in the browser like in the regular Youtube site.

Mobile views use RTSP - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Real_Time_Streaming_Protocol

If they can't calculate play time of mobile views, I would think they would not even consider them when ranking the video then
