Paypal Alternatives?

I just realized that internetbs no longer takes Paypal, so now I have a decision to make. Im not a huge fan of Paypal but always stuck with it because it was the most widely used. When doing searches it seemed everyone was pretty well spread between the other services, seems like theres not really any service stepping up and being the #2 service? What does everyone else think?

Skrill, AlertPay, WebMoney? Those are the 3 options that internetbs accepts. They are the reason I bought this question up, trying to decide which one to give a shot.

I have been selling online for years using only paypal (and paymate on Australian auction sites). I have stuck with them for the same reason as you - because a majority of online shoppers use paypal, so if you can't accept paypal payments you could be significantly reducing your customer base.

I have a question about these paypal alternatives - do any of them allow your customers to make payments using their paypal accounts? e.g. lets say you have alertpay set up to take payments on a website, can a customer use their paypal account to send the money to your alertpay account? That way you wouldn't be excluding customers who do all their shopping from their paypal account.

I must say that I have not had any major problems with paypal, my only dislike is that they hold a % of your payments as a 'pending balance' for a set period of time. It is your money but you do not have access to it. Imagine the amount of interest paypal must be earning from all of these 'pending balances' they have sitting in their accounts.

I've never actually used any of those but I've heard they're pretty much the same as Paypal... just, as you said, not as widely used.

Paypal is almost a monopoly these days. Someday someone will come in and take them and all their fees out!

I've seen many sites take off paypal as payment processor.
I vote for webmoney, It's russian, nothing more to say

I am grateful to say that I finally got rid of PP a few years back, along with all the headaches, and worries about getting funds frozen and services shut down, or paying extortion level rates and fees from other alternatives. I am totally satisfied in all regards with my current adult friendly merchant account provider. Cheaper than Paypal without the issues.
