Hell guys,

Few days ago I readed Google Sniper that was amazing ebook about promoting products, but now when I'm trying to use everything I learn on that ebook I'm stuck in Keyword researching.. Just need to know if Im doing somthing wrong or there are no niches left.. Im trying to find keywords that would be like Geogre from Google Spiner ebook said that competition would be not more then 30,000 and im not having any luck..

My question is do I have to keep looking or I should start looking for other ways ?

And please share your experence what more articles, ebooks is usefull and I MUST READ to keep going right way.

One more thing can anyone explain why this site (healthydinnerrecipesfor2. ORGanization [hope you get the link]) does not rank in top10 google search pages with keyword "Healty dinner recipes for 2" ? it's seems it did everything George from Google Sniper said but it is not even in top 10..

adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal is the awesome tool which is mostly used in selection of keyword, by this tool you can also research the traffic and the monthly searches on your targeted keyword.

You don't magically go into the first page without Link Building.

The site you mentioned has only 5 backlinks.

I think you can figure out why it's not ranking high.

You have, I am sorry to tell you, a poor site.

Your on page SEO is not complete (in come cases not even done), you have few backlinks, and some of the pages indexed in Google do have any content to speak of.

Your domain name, even though it is a EMD, is too long. EMD's work best with 2, or at most 3 words, but you are stuck with that.

You have applied site wide page titles and article titles and many pages do not have any description or keyword tags.

In some pages the URL is nearly 100 characterless long. You are approaching every page as it if has the same contents, the title and h1 tags should reflect the page content not the site theme.

This page:

only has 222 words on it and has a "continue reading" link that points here:
http://www.healthydinnerrecipesfor2.org/healthy-dinner-recipes-for-2-the-quest-is-over

which is not a continuation of the first article.

That "healthy-dinner-recipies-for-2-the-quest-is-over" amounts to keyword stuffing the URL since "healthy dinner recipes for 2" is already in the URL. It also makes the URL too long. You have done this with every page of your site. (TRANSLATION: You have keyword stuffed the URL every single page pf your site.)

There are other grammatical errors on the site too. (use Because instead of " 'cause ". for instance.)

The page title "the quest is over" is terrible. They should be something like "Easy, Quick veal diner for 2". The page title needs to tell the search engines what the PAGE is about not the site.

Also, you wrote the articles for SEO, not visitors.

There are literally dozens of these types of problems with the site.

I bought Google sniper too, it was a product way behind its time. The tactics in it worked three years ago.

Do a site: search in Google and look at the page titles and descriptions. You will note that inmost cases each of these are too long to be displayed so searchers are seeing a fragment of your descriptions and titles.

It is a good looking site, fix these basic SEO errors and the ranking will climb, dramatically for a while.

EMD + Exact Match Domain. a domain name that has your keywords in the exact order within the domain name.

That is a hard answer because everything is in flux right now. The value of EMD and many backlinks is on the wane, and social is becoming more important.

Read all about On-page seo and master it first.

Get social, and do it right. Something I do not know anything about. I am a hermit.


Learn to BUILD quality backlinks, not spam junk ones.

People will tell you to blast tier 2 or 3 links as if Google can't see that someone downstream is manipulating these links. The fact that Google cant look two link levels deep and see that a link is designed to boost a particular page is absurd. Especially if many of the links two hops away from that particular domain have been spammed to death. I believe you will see a major devaluation of these links very soon.

This is what I believe works right now.

Proper on page SEO for each individual page.
Quality content
Participation in your niche online
Quality backlinks from everywhere and with mixed anchor text.
social media mentions and web 2.0s within reason
quality backlinking from within the niche community
Activity from within the niche community at your site
You Tube marketing

What I think is waning and will be a waste of time to engage in right now.

Article marketing (excluding hub pages, squidoo, and a few article directories. 3 contextual links from each one and you're done).
backlink blasting
link wheels or other linking schemes
blog networks
auto posting

Of these the most important is on page SEO. Without that your website will bring in visitors that are looking for one thing and finding another. This kills your bounce rate.

Think of SEO in this way, your site builds authority, your pages build page rank. Links pass both. Treat each page as a single entity, and do the on page SEO for the contents of that page only.

Regarding Article Marketing:
Putting quality articles as guest posts and hubpages, squiddo, and article directories can be a very effective traffic generation technique. Do this with quality articles, and it will bring in a few visitors. Get up to 500 or so quality articles and you will begin to see real traffic. Do this for the traffic and to build your own personal authority, not the seo.

Auto posting CAN work, but you have to be a craftsman when building the site. Most of us are more like drunk barbarians with a war hammer, pound it out and hope for the best. This is from someone who has WPRobot and quit using it, because I lack the finesse to make it work.

As a disclaimer, this is all my opinion derived from what I have done with my own sites (I have crashed and burned a few of them along the way), and I am sure many other people will have differing one.
