Sorry if this is confusing for anyone, but after taking a look at analytics, I do see many page views, but these are not listed as being "unique", per the agreement of the service I ordered. I won't say from who I ordered the service from, until I have a fuller understanding of how this all works, er, is interpreted. Am I interpreting this incorrectly?

OK, lets say I have 10k visitors that I ordered, and it says "46 unique visitors", and the service specifies "unique", should I complain or ? All I am seeing is the page views, which... again, seems to differ from the "unique" visitors. lol, Anyone confused yet? I'd be more than happy to screenshot what I see, if it helps. Also, if I am allowed to post photos yet.

you have to understand what is "unique visitor" and "page views"
unique visitor is a unique IP address that visited your blog/website, if that IP moved from the homepage to a blog post that will count as 2 page views.

1 unique visitor can equal to 1 page view or 20 page views , all depends if he's clickin on your other posts and links on your site

If they specified 10,000 Unique Visitors and you only got 42 Unique Visitors then they either are hoping you think page views means unique visitors, they think page views are unique visits or something is wrong with your analytics software. Go ahead and screenshot it, you can put a link to a pic you upload somewhere else.

thank you all, for the replies. again, if I am wrong in this I apologize for being retarded. it's just, eh, I want to fully understand how this all works, so I am not taken advantage of. Also, please let me know if this is not what i should be looking at. You will notice, top-left, I did black out the site name. I will add it here if anyone wishes me to. So perhaps someone can point out if I am incorrect. Thank you once again.

Well, it appears that your suspicion was right. It was definitely not 10,000 UV. What was the purpose of doing it in the first place anyway? I've never really understood the concept of buying artificial traffic to be honest. Or was it supposed to be real visitors that were being redirected?

"We guarantee that you will receive the full amount of real, unique visitors that you paid for"

The purpose was to get the unique visitors, as it says on the site I got the package from. If that answers your question?

Yeah, I got page views to URL I submitted, but now I'm pretty much annoyed. I'm not sure if I should get in touch with the people who I got the service from, and if I get no response, or not happy with the response, should I say who it is? I really do not want to risk calling someone out if I am not 100% sure here. All I know is, is that it says it guarantees 100% unique, and every single visit came from different pages of the same 2 sites. I mean, could you get unique visits if its just from 2 sites as mentioned?

:( Man, this sucks. Do I risk having my site ripped apart, or do I take the small loss and just move on? I know I'd kick myself for not speaking out if I was taken for a sucker, and feel even more of an ass if I am taking this wrong. Could I possibly PM someone the URL to the site? I dont want to just post it here and accuse someone of something if its not true. :/

Everyone loses daily in IM. It's not that you lost money or failed. I's just that you found a method of traffic which does not work. Instead of worrying on this too much - MOVE ON - and find out which ways of traffic work. ;)

Good advice. I think I shall just move on.

Though... I cannot help but wonder if I am reading this correctly. Maybe Google Analytics is not 100%... but even if it wasn't, could it be off that much? G.A. is not the only one that lists this information, and they pretty much agree... Eh, live and learn I suppose.

Oh, and this is not JUST to find out if the service I got was, well, wrong, but I guess to help me learn how the whole traffic thing works. Learning the language- is that not the first thing to learn in order to become better at just about anything? =D

Well if the service I was buying said they deliver 10k uniques, I would interpret that as 10k uniques, and not 10k page views.

If I were you, I'd contact them about it, in a very polite manner. If they refuse to refund you or fix it, then open a shitlist against them if it's a service from a BHW member. I think you should get what you payed for.

10k UV are not 10K pages views there is a big difference
you should contact them and ask explanation why you don't receive what you ordered:10K UV and not 10K page views
