Bookmarking Demon has SUPER low proxy success now :(

A week ago I was scraping proxies all over the web and testing them through Bookmarking Demon with great success.

A week later, now when I test proxies in BMD I get 95% "Connection Error" and a few "Proxy Reveals Real IP". On BOTH my computers!

I literally can't use BMD at the momeny because I have 99% "connection error" proxies!!

Is my real IP interfering?
Should I get private proxies?
Why the sudden change in proxy success?

I've been considering it.

Proxies at all will slow it down, it is always faster when you are using your own ip, but private proxies are always much faster and the most important thing reliable compared to public ones.

Your definitely gonna want to use private proxies. I've seen them go for like $10 so try em out and see if you get better results.

Or just scrape a fresh list of public proxies every time your using BMD. I use scrapebox for this.

Does a private proxy mean, I will be a main user of it? I don't really want shared proxies.

I think private proxies are essential, public proxies today almost never work.

Ya, getting lots of successful pligg sites with PR 0 is pretty easy, but I've found that the high pr are a bit harder to get successes.

I'll def be grabbing so private proxies.

Can anybody recommend their fav private proxy service for BMD?

Well go figure, I stuck a bunch of proxies into BMD first.

I usually scrape AND test proxies with Scrapebox, then test them again in BMD, but this time I just stuck them in BMD.

I'm getting great success. derrr

What's the application got to do with the success of the proxies?

The proxies are failing not the application.

Chances are the proxies were always revelaing your IP. Spend $18 a month on 25 private ones, that's all you need for BMD - in fact, unless you spam "bookmark farms" (multiple bookmarking sites in the same IP) then you don't need to use proxies at all for most tasks.

25 private proxies means you can visit each bm site about 75-100 times a day I've found (3 or 4x per proxy)
I'm assuming you have massive lists of sites, not just the ones that come with BMD. Say you have a relatively low number of BM sites, just 1000 or so, that's 75,000 BM's a day made safely, and of course you can use the proxies for all your other tools as well, often at the same time.

Captcha Sniper does not solve "recaptcha" - nearly all Pligg sites have recaptcha - all will fail.

You need to plug in an appropriate solving service, captcha sniper WILL NOT DO PLIGG sites that use recaptcha - and that's most of them (80-90%).

This is a problem with captcha sniper not BMD, thay have been promising recaptcha solving now for months - but it's still not included

I should post a link to an article that tested this - but I can't (cause it's on my site)

Even paid services only solve recaptcha at a 20% success rate in tests.
Yss that's bloody awful.

You can find the article and video proof of how shite these services are if you type "demondemon" into G and look for the site. That's as close to a link as I'm going to put - and if anyone is troubled by that - I'll remove it now.

The only answer I have is to set retries to 5 on account creation and 5 again on submission for captcha solving, and accept MASSIVE captcha fees.

If anyone knows a better service that the 4 I've tried, let me know, cause they truly are CRAP ar recaptcha

They use it under license. But they have sort of "adopted" it.
Soon it, or similar services, will be everywhere, and OCR guys are going to have to up their game to get them solved.
