I've heard about CB shaving sales, the hard thing is, that it's hard to do a scientific study with CB. There are too many variables. I think the only way to truly find out is to buy a 50-100 things yourself from different CC's and see if they ALL register. But...who the hell would want to do that?
Do you mind if I ask you how you generate your sales? PPC advertising to a niche site?
Shaving ANYTHING is a HUGE risk for any company. You have to understand that.
I am having crappy sales the past several weeks too. Some weeks crappier than others. But even if CB is shaving, which I find very unlikely, that doesn't mean your site doesn't need work. I am constantly improving mine.
That doesn't always pay, but at least I am always learning.
And by the way, ask any top CB earner like Yukinari or OTrap or Neo if CB shaves sales, I can bet money on what they'll answer.

There's no way in a million years clickbank shaves. No one except retarded companies shave cps.
VERY few networks shave even CPA. Advertisers are the ones who shave and generally it's "scrubbing", not shaving, which is a very different thing. Scrubbing is what they do to maintain profitability.
Asking if cb shave is like asking if Google shave adsense clicks.

blackhatters make shady leads, advertisers are force to scrub it, plus the shaving -> blackhatters have to make shady leads
Scrubbing isn't a result of shady leads. Shady leads generally just results in 0 pay and a ban.
Not all traffic is equal and advertisers scrub based on how it converts at the backend.

That's why i keep 2 clickbank accounts. The days 1,2,3 march 2012 were plain $0 for one of my account. I removed all links and put it in other account, the other day, sales came to normal.
Indeed, i think that clickbank shaves with a planning. They don't shave all accounts, but they rotate the shaving to keep them under the radar, else all the forums will be filled with complaints on particular days and they will get caught red-handed.
Yeah, a multi million dollar business has an elaborate shaving plan so they can make a few extra bucks and risk their entire reputation.
Or maybe you just actually had 0 sales on certain days. You can't accuse clickbank of shaving because you've gone from 1-2 sales to 0 sales on a particular day. When you're doing over 100 sales per day and you start noticing unusual patterns, then come back and tell us.

as both a clickbank vendor and affiliate I don't think they shave. Hard to prove anything but they don't need to shave to maintain profitability - its very different with CPA which is based on leads which may or may not be profitable for the advertiser. with clickbank its based on actual sales that happen and are guaranteed. They don't need to shave.
