Website help needed!!!!

I just made my first site through hostgator and namecheap and i used the site builder to make my site but when i go to my actual XXXXXX.com website it is still parked and my website builder site on hostgator only shows my finished site, how do i make the finished site on my domain???? pleaseee helppp

Are you sure that DNS settings you told namecheap have been sent and accepted yet at hostgator? Sometimes it takes up to 24-48 hours (and sometimes a couple hours).

Look at your email from Hostgator, it will give you two nameservers - you need to go into your namecheap account and change the nameservers to the two that are in the hostgator email.

Once you put them in, it normally only takes a few minutes for everything to update.

Well i got both services about 6 hours ago so maybe that is it? How can i go about checking this, should there be a email or something?

1. check that you removed the crappy default html page that was there on the first place

Okay i added transfered my namecheap DNS to hostgator but i went to the hostgator CONTROL PANEL and went to add on domain and entered mine and it said Sorry, you are not allowed to add any more than (0) addon domains! The domain below was not setup!

If you are new to the internet and owning a site...you should at least have your domain and hosting from one provider..it makes things easier.

Funny because from all experienced users i heard to ALWAYS get the domain and hosting on separate websites, i am* new to websites but i am not new to the internet :O

Ok, if you aren't new to the internet or tech, you're going to have to do some digging and maybe spend some time with tech support - since you can't give us details about your domain, it's kinda hard for us to give you specific answers. with the domain name, I could do a Whois and tell you right away if your nameservers are right - then try the domain and see what comes up. None of this is hard - but you have to learn it. Don't worry, it may take you some time, but you are learning - we ALL started where you're at... just some more years ago than others... lol

It looks like you have a baby plan which only allows you to use one domain name, when you registered with HG did you used the domain that you bought from namecheap?
