I have a new site I started a couple days ago. I bought the domain from GoDaddy auctions; 7 year old domain. The main page (http://www.site.com) did not appear to be indexed, but 2 subpages were indexed. Domain also had a few links pointing to it, so I figured it was good to go.

I've added quite a bit of unique content to the site as of a couple days ago. Bookmarked the site manually from around 8 top bookmarking sites (Digg and those other ones). Added site to Google Webmaster Tools, no luck yet either. Pinged the site as well. Also linked to it from one of my Facebook fan pages.

I guess I am sort of being impatient, BUT in the past I've usually had sites indexed within a few hours. So this is what I want to do now, and just wanna make sure it's safe..

I have another site in a fairly similar niche, close enough. PR4 with tons of links, fairly authoritative site. I was thinking of adding my new site to the PR4 sites blogroll, and hopefully that'll help get it indexed. Both these domains are on the same hosting account.

Any risk in doing this?

Thanks in advance guys

You have almost tried your best and site is not indexed yet .

Its sandboxed IMO

Create more High PR Backlinks slowly and Ping them always

Hopefully will get out of sandbox

Well, good news. Site got indexed like an hour ago apparently LOL so looks like I'm good :D Weird though, because all the inner pages are indexed..but not the homepage yet. Oh well, I'll wait it out :)

But my originally question still stands..would it be a bad idea to use my PR4 site to link to my new site (considering they are on the same hosting)?

That will be bad idea

That will cause more foot prints which looks spammy

Thanks buddy!

One more question..is it possible for a sites homepage to be penalized, but not the inner pages? It's weird, because before I bought the domain, the homepage was not indexed, but there were inner pages indexed. Now that I've bought it, I'm still unable to get the homepage indexed, but I've gotten my articles (inner pages) indexed.

Order a 50k direct blast off Fiverr, it's what all the experts are doing nowadays ;)

On a serious note, how many backlinks does this domain have? Maybe it was penalized in some weird way. Don't link it with the PR4 though.

I've seen this on domains that I have purchased from auction. It has always worked out for me in the end. Had a domain I bought, and G indexed 22 inner pages before indexing the homepage. I would just keep at it.
