You do realize humans have been hunters for thousands of years?
I wouldnt say all humans have been hunters. But that also depends on how long you believe modern humans have been around. If you subscribe to the 6000-7000 biblical story, there was a point that humans were vegetarians in a peaceful garden.
If you subscribe to the 150,000 year human, those humans were not as advance or the same as modern day humans

Why bother? You won't listen to logic argument and the only counter argument you have is "Put yourself in the chicken's shoes". I have no problem having a nice conversation, but i see other individuals want to be offensive and immature so therefore I will be also.
There is nothing wrong with putting yourself in the same place of another being that has the same feelings as you do. In fact, I say that it is the foundation of morality. Its not a difficult concept to grasp if one actually ponders upon it.

Just out of curiosity, how about explaining your personal experience with livestock and wildlife, because I'm guessing you have none. You seem to think chickens have the same "feelings" we have. That's just wrong. They may experience fear and such, but that is a survival instinct all living things have. They are not capable of complex emotion. I'm sorry if your hippie literature told you otherwise, but you clearly have no experience with chickens if that is the case. Chickens have no morals and such, they have the will to live and that is it, and they will run over whatever they need to to survive. You go on talking about your own morals and how you consider yourself more responsible or above that of a chicken. Wrong again. You keep putting yourself up on the pedestal. You are nothing but another animal. An animal who nature intended to eat meat. Somehow you've got it in your head that you're better though, and you keep insisting on proving that you are better. To who? Yourself, that's who. Everything you do seems to be some pitiful act of contrition to prove to yourself that you're better than the rest. It's self-righteous bullshit.

I am talking about human morality, not chicken morality. If you go through my previous posts you will see i addressed all that you are bringing up. Again, I dont follow what the chickens do, I follow my human morality. I am asking others to ponder upon this one concept.
I do not generalize everyone in one category, nor do I put myself on a pedestal. I might seem like i am putting myself on a pedestal to you dirtbag because you are busy wallowing in the mud(or should i say dirt) . There is nothing self righteous or unrighteous of asking someone to ponder on what they do especially if life and death is involved in the matter.
Have you put yourself in there situation yet? I will take it from there when you have done at least this much

Why would we put ourselves in their situation? They are a food source and have been for thousands of years and will be thousands of years from now.
Obviously you keep avoiding dirtbags question regarding how much you know about chickens and if you have any experience dealing with or raising them. I am assuming you are avoiding the question since the answer is NO!
Well here is a little known fact, a large % of chickens have a suicide gene built in, if they do not get eaten by a certain point in their lives they literally will hop on your plate and kill themselves!
Let me ask you this, have you ever seen a chicken on a plate trying to kill himself? It's pathetic, trust me, we are doing them a huge favor!

Why would you put yourself in there situation? Because they have feelings just like you do, that has been proven.
Why am I avoiding the questions about if I had chickens? Because it is irrelevant to the topic i am raising. Human morality is different or should i say it should be different then chicken morality. But to answer the question, yes i have raised chickens a long time ago. I raised them as pets though, they were free roaming chickens in my yard. THey were not violent as you have experienced though. Maybe there behavior was different since they ate feed with no GMO's or other unhealthy things. I also raised many other animals and where i live i am surrounded by farms.
So I am just asking humans to ponder upon there own morality. It is possible to put yourself in the shoes of another sentient being and see how you would feel in that situation

I cannot, I can only ponder how I feel about chickens in their current chicken situation.
I am not a chicken therefore incapable of knowing what a chicken knows. We know they have tiny brains, we know sometimes they will eat right out of their own poop if they find food in it, we know several other thngs too that have been mentioned, but only chickens know what a chicken truly feels. So NO I cannot put myself in a chickens shoes, just like you cannot put yourself in a blade of grasses shoes.

It has been proven that chickens feel joy, fear, pain, anger, sadness, love, hate... all those feelings you have, so yes you can empathize on those feeling. Wise up man
