I'm getting some REALLY mixed messages when I look at the difficulty level on UNF and the level on Traffic Travis...

For example: Niche: solar panels

UNF:
Difficulty
how to make a solar panel 47
diy solar panels 42
solar panels for sale 41
solar cells for sale 34
solar panels for your home 31

So you would think that the solar panels niche is pretty good. But then I checked on Traffic Travis and it's very different.. I'm seeing keywords which say they are easy on UNF (34) but on Traffic Travis they are 100%..

Here's the Traffic Travis difficulty data for the same keywords:

How to make a solar panel: 54%
diy solar panels: 86%
solar panels for sale: 100%
solar cells for sale: 100%
solar panels for your home: 89%

This is just an example of one niche but I'm finding this problem with lots and lots of other keywords too..

I have a few good niches which I've found now which have similar difficulty rating on both TT and UNF so I'm assuming they are good, but it's getting really really frustrating when I find some awesome keywords on UNF then run them through TT only to find that they aren't good at all...

So what do you think's going on? Is TT giving me correct data or is UNF?!

I just got a suggestion for your tool to make it more better.

My suggestion is why don't you add Brainstorm feature which will scrape keywords from Google Trends or something like that.After it scrapes those KWs,we can do narrow digging,etc.

This feature will be really useful when our mind is blank with new KW ideas.

Where are you getting the percentage data from? I can't find it in my version of TT.

I know from the free version of Traffic Travis, they use the broad results, which is very obscure since it's not accurate.

UNF analyzes the Top 3 websites ranking on Google, but I always recommend you look at the actual Top 10 sites to double-check, every time, how many backlinks they have, how optimized are they, and their domain authority (domain age, PR, backlinks to domain) and also the type of websites ranking, i.e Wikipedia takes a lot longer to outrank.

Speed and Accuracy are inversely proportional and we try our best to get both.

34 is Moderate btw, easy is <30.

BTW, we're moving on to a different comp analysis module since the current one require too many proxies and SE0.moz have been clamping down on queries from our software. Will release an update in 24-48 hours.

Been suggested before, end result, we'd have 100's of users using the same keywords and some will complaint they don't find any EMD's because we have too many users looking at the same keywords. If we were to implement a Brainstorm feature it'd be from something like this instead,

Plus it takes two clicks to copy and paste keywords from Trends anyway.

Can you or someone make a video on how to find low-comp and high volume niches? I went through 840,000 keywords and still no luck with the "lose weight" keyword as my root one. I know you have a video on how to use it, but an example video of how you find keywords will be great as well. Just a suggestion. I guess it's mental block

I don't think it exists for that particular niche. Weight-loss is one of the most competitive niche online.

You could consider low-medium volume keywords or just go for the hard keyword and build better sites and more links, SEO is all relative anyway.

Clyde, glad to report that this tool is always being used on my PC

One bug (and I REALLY NEED IT FIXED). Say if I have a thousand keywords imported, then I choose them all, then I right mouse to select Fetch Search Data, it quits after getting search data numbers for a few, and not all of the keywords.

I just recently started getting problems with UNF timing out when expanding keywords. I tried a new adwords account, but its still staying timed out.

Is anybody else experiencing this?

same problem here. tried new adwords account and fresh proxies and had it still happening. Don't worry. Clyde is always super fast about fixing problems.

Hi, I don't know what to tell you. UNF gives you all the keyword Google can give, if that's not enough, there's nothing anybody can do about it. The KW we generate come straight from the GAKT.

As for product keywords, you can have 10 articles that write about 10 different things that's related to the main product. Or you could just write about an entirely different product in the same niche. For example, for "treadmills". You can also write about abs cruncher, or weight lifting product on the same website.

The best advice I can give you: Just look at your competitor's websites and see what they all write about and enter that into UNF to generate longtails you can write about.

Whew, good know its not just me.

We're aware of this issue, Google changed their keyword tool's interface (again). Our programmer's on it and will issue a fix in 24h.

I just did a quick test and got no errors while checking competition so that's pretty sweet. Do we still have to use proxies for this?

I don't know...I feel like you're always going to need proxies if you're using Google's Keyword tool with a bunch of search queries

It's showing up as very hard for me. What are your settings for target location and language? Change the match type to "exact". Also make sure your proxies are good if you're using them

Exact and united states/english.....EVERY keyword shows up as "very easy"...

Been running the tool since early launch without issues, right now it is totally broken after the last update.

Ok go to help>clear state and restart in the menu - and then try again
