Lol so i got banned from 2 CPA networks using this already.. i blanked the referer and asked if blanking was ok and both AM said i was fine but then i get banned from "Locking offers that don't allow it" lol anyone got any ideas of what im doing wrong?

Which networks?

I am using all kind of offers, usa/canada mostly email sumbits and europe/asia = sms offers.

blanking was always turned on and the networks were maxbounty and adscendmedia lol becareful with those guys!

Thanks for the heads up.

We recommend you get content locking friendly offers when you're starting out. As you send traffic and get to know your AMs you can start to mix in some new offers.

SMS offers are really strict these days, so content locking (safely) is out of the question. It's just a case of rotating a bunch and seeing what you can get away with.

There are lots of networks that would happily accept you traffic and have a variety of offers you can use with content locking.

Try StrongerAds. I know they have a bunch of guys using CLP and doing pretty well.

Sure, you don't have to use CPA offers, though. You could also use Clickbank offers, affiliate products etc.

Depends how you use them. Technically, they shouldn't affect rankings, but if you block a whole page, our experience shows that rankings won't be as strong as without.

Almost all of our users lock links/videos/downloads, though, and not whole pages which is what we'd recommend for the best conversions and also to keep Google etc. happy.

Yes. Speak to BassTrackerBoats or Oxonbeef and they will hook you up. No need to blank referer - they will tell you what's allowed.

How would any network (or anyone) ever know where you traffic came from if you are blanking it? Doesn't matter if its maxbounty or stronger ads or anyone. . the referrer is passed along in the header between the browser and the server. . and either its there, or its not.

If this is true . . then the referrer is leaking, or the user made an error. Meathead can you confirm or deny if the referrer ever leaks under any circumstance, on any browser to your real knowledge.

Otherwise i'm going to sit down with wireshark and really start looking at it, and if it leaks, i'll find it, although if it leaks i'd rather hear how and where it leaks and make adjustments, then sit around searching to find the holes.

It is 100% safe, yes. We've tested with numerous browsers and millions of visits. If the referer isn't blank, CLP automatically redirects the user away from the CPA offer so you don't get caught.

Just because your referer is blank, doesn't mean the network can't figure it out. High conversion rates/low backend conversions can also be a sign of content locking.

If they are content locking friendly, that's fine. If you're unsure, check with your AM before running traffic.
