First off I'm sorry if you are fed up of journals however following Wendettas success and drive I want to replicate it with a different method.
I was going to write this as a retrospective journal and post it once I?ve completed the challenge, however I think it might be beneficial for myself and others if this is posted as it happens.
What I intend to do
I have set myself the challenge of making $50 a day from microniche sites. Some people say they are dead, and from my little experience I have to say otherwise. I will be researching all the keywords myself. I intend to target a KW with at least 1k US monthly searches, but it must have the scope for some longtails so taking 10 pages of content the monthly search volume will be in excess of 3k searches.
I will then write the articles myself! I know outsourcing is key in making money effectively but first off I want to master micro niches. I have experience in SEO and can rank websites but microniches so far I think are slightly different. Some keywords that would work well for authority sites don?t work so much for microniches.
How long will it take to do it?
Time is money, I don?t want to set an estimate that is simply unreachable as I thoroughly intend on hitting this target. So far I?ve built 3 websites (last week), to test the water so to speak. Site 1 is ranking in position 4 for main KW and in position 7 for 4 others and another 4 kw?s in top 20. I am currently doing my second and last linkbuilding campaign so I can leave it drip to #1. This will leave me with 3200 exact searches per month targeted with a $2.2 average CPC and medium adwords competition. Assuming ranking in top 5 average within 3 months and a 1.5% ctr I estimate this site to earn $13 dollars a month. If however I hit the top 2 I estimate the earnings to be $40 a month. (Earnings via adsenseflippers niche profit calculator)
So quite a rough estimate and only time will tell if those figures are anything to go by but by those numbers I need a hundred sites of that stature if I rank top 5, if I rank top 2 which is what I really am aiming for then 38 sites.
So this is basically the route I?m taking probably producing 3-5 sites a week. Putting me on track for Christmas 2012. On a sidenote you may think 1 site of 10 pages with 400 word articles takes a while, well it doesn?t if you know how to type. I can do 400 word articles in 10-15 mins that are of reasonable-good quality. It simply takes me 15 minutes of surfing to acquire the knowledge I need then I am away. So that?s 2 and a half hours a day writing. Then 1 hour to setup the website and then another 2 hours setting up the link building campaign. 5 and a half hours a day not totally unreasonable. Once I do see returns and my method is working naturally I will outsource some of this and increase site production.
So yeah that?s my plan, I intend to update this thread 2-3 times a week. I have my plan sorted out, I?ve done enough reading on BHW and have my SEO strategies sorted. I hope you find this journal as motivating as I do.
