paypal 21 day hold anyway around this?

ok so i recently sold an item through ebay and theres a 21 day hold for it!! is there anyway around this for example refunding the buyer and getting him to send the amount back directly through paypal instead of using ebay? as i dont want to send the item untill i receive the money

Well I guess you will have to provide them with proofs and then just wait. Nothing else you can do. Search the forum and you will see how many people cant do anything about it.

In general you can resolve the problem when you never use gaypal again and you will not have the problem at first place.

Wish there was a way around this, dont know. And i dont think the people who do know a way around this would even share because every time a work around is shared PP plugs the gaps fast .

The only thing i would say is next time either buy a aged paypal that is past the 21 day hold period, or grow a PP account with a few good transactions and let it past the hold period.

Your hold is an ebay thing more than a paypal thing. You should know by now that getting someone to pay outside of ebay's system is so hardcore against their TOS that you'll be instantly permabanthammered.

I beg you to find a different marketplace than ebay, for your business' sake and the sake of the rest of us trying to end ebay's quasi-monopoly

Send the item.... make sure you input the tracking number on paypal and once it is marked 'received' on the tracking you will get the money in 2-3 days...

I think if you are a trusted seller you do not have the 30 days hold-time. It is to prevent all the fraud that is going on ebay/paypal.

All you can do is provide prompt shipping with tracking numbers, and butter up your customers so they leave positive feedback. Positive feedback, no claims and tracking numbers = reduced time. I have gotten them reduced a fair amount of the time.

Mate just do what anyone with sense is..THIS IS THE BIG EBAY EARNERS SECRET..
I don't even normally give this advice without paying anyone..but hit me up with REP and thanks for this..THIS is the only way I know to beat the 21 day hold and 90% of the time it works.
Firstly list your item, but make sure in settings/requirements at the bottom make sure you select sellers with +2 feedback, no chargebacks, negative etc.
Then when you win the item and the person pays to your held paypal linked with ebay, just refund the customer and say sorry I have reached my paypal recieval limit on here because I sold some items on gumtree etc outside ebay..so ive refunded you..I'll send you a paypal invoice now to pay for the item..then bang your customer pays thinking yeah im safe..its invoiced..its there..and u dont have a hold..BANG..

Not the best method but like I said 90% of the time if you word it right..and tell them your paypal recieval limit is gone..in combination with positive feedback it works..

yeah i just went through this a week ago.

if you provide the tracking information for the product you sold and input it into the money hold on paypal, it will automatically go down from 21 days to 3 days.
